New Stihl 16" 67 Drive Link, .325"Pitch,.063"Guage Rapid Duro3 Carbide Chain. The STIHL RAPID™ Duro 3 chain is a low-kickback version of the STIHL RAPID™ Duro. It stays sharp up to four times longer than standard chains. With standard-sized cutters, the RD3 is extremely durable and produces very good results in all types of wood. It is especially suited for cutting dirty wood, treated wood, roots and hardwoods, which would quickly dull conventional chains. This chain must be re-sharpened with a formed diamond grinding wheel.

stays sharp
Cuts like new for much longer than a regular steel chain, just don't hit anything hard, teeth will chip off. Not idea for pruning close to the ground. Plunging through clean cord wood, awesome.

These are great chains for ground level brush removal
You will wear the chain out before it gets too dull to use (providing you keep it away from rocks).

Best Kept secret in chainsaws..can't beat it for rough cutting
I have 10 saws, mostly Husky & Stihl, and the little Stihl 230 with this carbide tipped chain gets 80% of the use since finding it 3 years ago. The first one cut regularly for a full year before changing out. Most cutting is either for woodturning or firewood. Property has lots of dead, cured locust that dulls a regular chain quickly but this little guy just keeps on goin.Trimming around the house with the first chain (own two 230's now) I hit a nail & cut a good nick in a cinder block.during first use..and that chain went on for a year..regular chain would have been done immediately.Supplier said this is the chain of choice for railroads cutting railroad ties.Specs say 4x longer life than regular chain...more like 10x.check prices at local dealers...but note that even some large Stihl dealers aren't aware of the 230 supplied with this chain.
