It does work quickly but i found will only remove one layer of gloss paint at a time. In my case there are about 5 layers to be removed so lots of patience and elbow grease required. Consistency is that of pva glue, did not dry out and i did not cover while waiting for it to work. I did lay it on thickly with a paint brush... Will probably need to use 5 bottles of the 500ml to complete the job. So Quite inexpensive. Another plus side is i found it did not hardly smell at all, somewhat of a slight sour smell but not a strong chemucal odour i expected.
