Excellent and exciting idea to track travel!
This was a gift for my mum, and I must say I took the liberty and helped myself to one too. I travel a decent amount with work and have been encouraging my mum to see the world as well. She absolutely LOVED it. I got them both framed and she spent a chunk of her birthday morning scratching the places she had visited.Pros:I noticed that for some other maps (brands) that customers complained about the difficulty in scratching off easily. This was not the case for this map, we had no problem whatsoever. The top layer came off easily.They even provided a sample map of the USA to practice on first.Cons:I would have loved some areas to be bigger like some of the smaller countries in Europe and the Caribbean (the Caribbean was very inadequately represented which was extremely disappointing). I get that that would mean the map would need to be bigger in order to maintain it to scale but I think that would have been preferable to omitting some countries all together as if they never existed.Also there is an error in the country listing. Some smaller countries are numbered as there was no space to fit them on the map. The key/legend for the numbering goes awry after number ten! So be aware. This was an avoidable and frankly tacky mistake.Overal,l however, I am still happy with the purchase and my aunt and cousin who also travel a lot also want one.

I ordered this map for my son as a Xmas gift. He is an avid traveler and I think he will enjoy this gift.The quality and graphics are better than I expected. I love that you can scratch off the state you have been to. I looked at similar products and thestates were not separated.The only thing I am not sure of is how the scratch off process will be, but will come back and let you know when my son starts using it.

The Accessories Make This!
I got this as a Christmas gift for a friend and she absolutely loves it. She said it was one of the best gifts she got. She loves to travel and it has everything you need to perfectly take care of it. It comes in great packaging. My husband had gotten me one of these as a gift before but it didn't have all of the cool accessories this one has.

High quality
This map is beautiful. My son just returned from a 7 month backpacking trip of South America, Europe, Asia and Australia and this map was the perfect Christmas gift for him. He hasn't started the scratch off process yet, but it looks like it will be easy enough. Will post more once that is started. So far, he loves it and is excited to display it. Thank you for a good quality product.

Fantastic Christmas present
This was a Christmas present and my daughter absolutely loved it. The quality is fantastic. She has already scratched off the places she has visited and the map underneath is lovely. I looked at several of these maps before deciding on this one, in large part because of the individual states being marked. The reviewer who mentioned the Michigan outline being incorrect is mistaken.

Looks nice, but did not include everything
When I received this map, I was disappointed that it did not come with the small map, scratching tool, or magnifying class. I chose this map because of these extras but did not receive them. It looks like a nice map, but I do not know what I should​ use to scratch the different sections off.
