The mattress is comprised of: 1) A cotton core made up of 100% Organic Cotton layers and 2) a wrapping of pure Wool around the Organic Cotton layered core. This mattress is made primarily of organic cotton, with no chemical fire retardant. Organic cotton is soft to the touch, but firm under pressure. This mattress is medium-firm and supportive. We recommend this mattress to be used with: platform beds, box-springs, or on a bi-fold or tri-fold futon frame. Awesome mattress!
I have been meaning to write a review, because I love this mattress! I didn't buy this on Amazon, but directly through the store. I bought the twin size Dreamton for my son's first "big boy" bed. He loves it and has slept great every night since he got it! I actually got the green cotton instead of the organic, but I'm writing the review here because it is the regular Dreamton, not Boulder Dreamton, which I believe is their firmest mattress (the Boulder Dreamton). So anyway, I wanted the firmness to match, so I'm putting this review here. I was told the regular Dreamton was a "7", and that sounded like a perfect fit for my son!When you first unwrap the box, make sure to gently shake and let mattress fall back lightly so the fiber all go back into place as it was vacuum packed to fit in the box! I first thought it was made too small but after I did that everything was the right size.I looove the smell of the cotton/wool, it's a nice fresh clean scent. But if you don't like the smell, I've read the smell fades over time.This is a cotton core wrapped in wool, so no need for fire retardants!
