More credible incredible situations result in a great read
Traci Hunter Abramson is the best writer of LDS suspense/romance fiction writing today. That may sound like damning with faint praise, because it seems like a fairly narrow niche, but there are a lot of writers vying for the privilege and not succeeding nearly as well. As in her other books, Abramson's characters in Obsession are placed in a somewhat incredible, or at least unusual, situation, but because she does her research the situation becomes real and her characters and their feelings are always credible--no false conflicts or obstacles to stave off the resolution until the book is long enough to publish (which seems to be the case in some other entries in the genre). The main characters are well-developed and the secondary characters play their parts well--and while I guessed who the villain was before that was revealed, that's to be expected in mystery fiction and the road to the characters' realization of the identity of the villain was entertaining and even compelling. I never thought, "Why don't they see what I see?" because I knew what assumptions they were making and what information they had and didn't have, or why they hadn't seen the clues. Unlike other Abramson books, there were a couple of places where redundant information was presented as new information--an easy problem to fix but sometimes hard to see during the writing, revising, and editing process. Well done (again), Abramson! More, please.

Page turner
Though this is listed as a stand alone, and it can be read alone, it does tie into the Saint Squad series. I loved the characters and devoured the story. Tough to put down until the end.

Just a great read
Ms. Abramson is one of my favorite authors. I love her "Saint Squad" books. This is Charlie Whitmore's story. He is the brother of Matt, (Deep End, Ripple Effect, etc) and Amy (Freefall, and the other "Saint Squad" books). I really likes the flow of this book. Traci does a great job of balancing romance and suspense-always. This is another great book. I am hoping to see more with these two characters in them.

Witness Protection, Famous Singer
Kendra refuses protection even after a bombing at her concert. She accepts her FBI grandfather's advice to at least take time off and safely away at a remote location. Enter FBI agent Charlie, recruited by her grandfather to keep an eye on Kendra, but not let her know his job. Awesome. And the stalker is creepy. This was a lot of fun. I also enjoyed the insights into why Charlie would choose FBI in the first place -- very insightful to what kind of people are drawn to a profession I don't have experience with.
