It may also worth with some of the other models as well.. Other than being able to adjust the maximum current the Inverter/Charger will draw from shore power, it mainly is a set of indicator LEDs and a switch.. The switch allows the inverter/charger to be off, in charger mode only, or on.. It is not required to use the Inverter/Charger.. It is a nice display to see the status of the Inverter/Charger so it does have some utility.. . But if the budget is tight, I'd get the Interface MK3-USB which will allow you to set the maximum current, along with lots and lots of other parameters.. In fact, there are many important parameters which can only be set up using the MK3-USB Interface.. Other than for the remote display of the LEDs on the inverter/charger, if you have a Victron CerboGX (or the Raspberry Pi equivalent), it is really not required for anything..
