It locks
Was easy to install. Directions weren’t great but I’m not an idiot so it wasn’t that hard to do. Works as described.

Great replacement for old lock sytems
I was struggling finding a compatible mechanism for my old door. Ordered this and fits perfectly. Lock got stuck at times which was frustrating as took a while to relock it but as soon as I sprayed some wc40 in the lock it now works great. Even if you don't require all the parts, it's good to keep them as spares.

Tips for installation
The current video in YouTube showing installation commenced from the lock handle. I did the reverse way because the latches have limited place to install. And the latches on both sides of the garage door shall be approximately 60mm different in height depending which orientation you want to install the lock. The lock handle from outside to the inside shall be accurately in horizontal. Therefore, drilling the 11mm diameter hole and the two 5mm holes (inside, 8mm outside) shall be careful. The only uncertainty I have about this product is the spring loaded latch while it is in opened position. There is nothing holding it "opened". If the garage door vibrate too much, would the latch be closed by itself because it's spring loaded?

Good value
Great kit with everything needed to put an exterior latch and lock on a garage door. Installation took 15-20 minutes, comes with basic directions and a template for drilling into the garage door. I would not call this a heavy duty or commercial lock kit but seems great for a garage door on a storage building. I would buy this kit again tomorrow.
