The bottle is easy to drink from
This bottle has worked excellently for me since I bought it over a year ago, replacing the Rubbermaid bottle I was using with less satisfaction. I don't know how anyone in the office considers the unpleasant city tap water to be acceptable for drinking, but once it goes through this filter it tastes fresh and clear. The bottle is easy to drink from. The straw-plus-filter does not require much sucking power to drink through, and you drink from the hard-shell bottle in an upright position, rather than having to tilt it upward and squeeze it forcefully like the Rubbermaid bottle I owned. If I had any complaint at all, it's that the straw sometimes falls out of the cap when unscrewing it. It was happening about every second or third time I unscrewed the cap to refill it. However, this can be about 90% avoided by pushing the straw into the cap each time you open it. Just give it a little push to seat it more firmly into the underside of the cap even though it probably won't seem loose, and this will prevent it from working itself loose over the course of successive openings. Ultimately this is a trivial complaint anyway because it's a very minor inconvenience when the straw falls out.P.S.: I've seen a number of complaints about finding replacement straws-plus-filters, but the set that I bought worked well enough. I think the new filters are taller, and the straw-plus-filter barely fits inside the bottle at an angle, but it hasn't harmed the working of the bottle. Apparently you can also cut the straw yourself to make it a better fit if you are so inclined. I don't know if you will find a better filter bottle than this one, so don't let the talk about replacement filters turn you away. I would simply buy a new bottle once a year if I couldn't get any decent replacement filters; it's certainly worth the cost.

Great Water Bottle & Great Price!
My previous experience with filtered water bottles were not too good - I purchased the Rubbermaid filtered bottles for work. Our water was not too good, and I thought i would drink more with the water being filtered and tasting better. Well, the water tasted better, but it was terribly difficult to drink out of the bottle causing me to drink LESS. You have to suck the water out, and often times try to squeeze the hard plastic. In addition, it makes a "sucking sound" after you finish taking your sip as the water bottle sucks the air back into the bottle. So, as the water at work is continually getting worse and worse tasting, I needed a new alternative. So I searched for water bottles and this one had the best reviews AND SHOCKINGLY was the cheapest! For under $10 you cannot go wrong with this bottle. As other users mentioned, there's a small hole (leak proof) at the top of the lid that allows for easy sucking through the straw. No squeezing or straining. Also, so far no leaks at all. Also looks like good quality and I am not concerned with it breaking if it falls. My ONLY complaint is that it sweats a lot if you put ice in it. But, duh, it's a water bottle and it's going to sweat. So, this is more of an irritation on my part, but I will be getting a koozie to wrap around and I wont have to worry about that anymore. If you're vascilating between this bottle and a different one - get this one. You won't be sorry.

I like it
Our sink water tastes terrible and it can be a pain dealing with the Brita, so this has been a nice option for when I want to grab some water and go. The filter seems to do a great job removing ickies from the water and the straw reaches the bottom quite well.I checked out several filter water bottles and ended up getting this one and the Rubbermaid 20-Ounce Filtration Personal Bottle and prefer this one significantly over the Rubbermaid one. The Rubbermaid one required a lot more rinsing of the filter, which I didn't do and it (literally) left a terrible taste in my mouth. I've been a bit scared to use it after that. One of my biggest concerns with water bottles is leakage. I need to be able to pack it along with me, throw it around and have it at different angles without leaking everywhere. I was a little worried about this one because the spout looks like it would leak, but I've packed this thing along with me all over the place with no problems whatsoever.Since you drink through the straw filter, it can be a little difficult, but I wouldn't say it is a problem at all. In fact, it makes the water a little bubbly in a nice way so it tastes fresher and more aerated. I'd definitely suggest this!

MUCH better!
Before I bought this water bottle I was using the brita filter bottles. I used these bottles for about a year and suddenly realized how awful they were. They are hard to drink out of, they leak, and the bottle is so tiny I had to fill it up constantly! So I finally broke down and decided I was going to try a different filter bottle. I like using filter bottles because I feel assured that my water is much cleaner than if I wasn't using them. They are convenient for if you are getting water in a restaurant and want to make sure it's clean, if you're drinking water from a water fountain some place (the gym, etc), or if you just want a quick fill up at the sink at home before you head out the door. I decided to try this particular water bottle and was prepared to be critical due to my last filter bottle experience. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. The bottle doesn't leak at all for me, it's a bigger bottle, and I don't have to squeeze! You simply sip your water through the straw-like apparatus. I am finding myself drinking much more water with this water bottle than I was drinking before, with or without my brita filter bottle. Not only is this water bottles design refreshing, but it's a relief to know I'll always have cleaner drinking water.
