My fish love it!
My African dwarf cichlid absolutely loves this little barrel and is in it constantly. He sleeps in it every night and only comes out to harass his tank mates or eat lol. It’s well made and was a fraction of the price I would have paid if purchased from one of my local pet stores. The colors are vibrant and it adds an aesthetically pleasing look to my tank. It’s smaller than I expected but my biggest fish can still get in and out with ease so it works perfectly in my 20g tank!

The product was wrapped in bubble wrap than put into a small box. The product wasn't damaged. The colors were bright. The barrel had a lot of debris, after soaking in water still had to scrape with finger to remove debris. I would recommend this product for the value of money.

Strong chemical smell, killed fish.
I ordered this barrel for my son’s 2.2 gallon tank that is the home to an African frog and 2 tetra fish. When opening the package I was hit with a strong chemical smell. There were sharps edges as well but after reading reviews I sanded the sharps edges to a smooth edge. Due to the smell I soaked the barrel for 24 hours in hot water and rinsed with cold. Very quickly the fish seemed to be in distress so we continued to watch. By morning the fish seemed really off so I pulled out the barrel. When I got home from work one fish was dead, the other almost and the frog seemed off. We pulled out the living fish and are currently trying to revive him and have the frog separated. We had to do a complete tank clean out and will continue to monitor the fish and frog before returning to the tank.The barrel is very cute and was the perfect size for the tank but it is not safe for aquatic animals.
