Garlic & Onion Alternative
Bought to try as a low FODMAP alternative to garlic and onion. Hadn't come across it as a spice before, but so glad I have. Use it in pretty much anything you'd previously use garlic or onion. Packs a punch of flavour, but very pleasant. Finally can enjoy the hint of the flavours I love, without the digestive discomfort and uncertainty...! Would recommend.

Very pungent but tasty spice. Used for low FODMAP diet.
Made a very tasty chicken curry with this spice. It negates the need to use onions and garlic in the recipe. Would highly recommend fir those with IBS or on low FODMAP diet. Was recommended to me by nutritionalist. Had never used it before, but will be using it again. Large 100g tub. Good value for money. It looks and smells a good quality product.

Didn't have the right smell
I use hing regularly and this did not smell the same and it came with broken seal, so I didn't use it but rather threw it away.

I could have sworn I already did this. But, no matter. It's a very strong spice. It's aroma is somewhat pungent and unpleasant. I put a piece of plastic wrap between the lid and the opening. Then the entire thing goes into an airtight ziplock bag. :-). However, it gives a very yummy flavour to food when used. Just keep it well contained.

Une odeur surprenante, comme son nom l'indique, mais un bon gout d'oignon qui se marie a beaucoup de choses. Un bon ingredient a ajouter sur vos etageres.
