I liked it so much, I bought 2 more.
This worked so well I bought 2 additional devices after experiencing how easy it was to configure. In under 5 minutes I had the device setup to open my garage and gate. My gate opener is one of the dip switch setting openers, and this unit learned the code on the first try. I wanted an opener that was as easy to setup as my homelink equipped vehicles, and that's what I got. It's been working flawlessly.

these are nice, small
Quick initial review: At first I didn’t think this remote could program my remotes since it wasn’t picking up the codes. The instructions say to put the other remote a few centimeters away from this remote when programming. That didn’t work. I had to put my old remotes literally touching the back of this remote for it to program.Once I used that technique, programming was quick and simple. I have an old Linear Multicode static code gate and a new rolling code Access garage door. This remote picked up both types of codes even though neither was listed as compatible when you go onto the manufacturer’s website. So, be persistent, shove your old remote right onto the back of this new remote. Do note that the manufacturer has a different remote for low frequency remotes (like 40 MHz and lower), so this remote probably won’t be compatible with those.Btw, these are nice, small, stylish. Comes with a tiny lanyard and a visor clip.

Easy enough to program/use. Don't trust key ring cord to stay on device.
I can recommend this highly, with just a couple of caveats. It's nice and small, well made, and works well. But..........First, don't expect perfectly clear instructions that will work with every type of opener, I see no reason to disbelieve people who had problems. But in my case, I followed the instructions for the simplest kind of opener, for both of my doors. Neither worked after a few tries taking a total of maybe 2 minutes. So I went on to another part of the instructions, for a different kind of opener (rolling code requiring hitting a button on each garage door opener, etc.) and both doors were opening and closing immediately upon doing what it said to do. So, the instructions are adequate, it's just that I was unsure which technology my old openers had, and it turned out they had a more modern security feature than I expected. It was nice that the instructions let me figure out that simple code stealing when I use my remote, doesn't let someone clone the remote without physical access to the power unit inside the garage too.Second, the little cord with little key ring, was nicely made.....but it turns out that it's not 100% secure. DO NOT rely upon it to hold the remote securely for very long, if you clip it to your belt loop for instance. In my case, within a couple of days it had worked its way out from having 2 cords through the remote, to just 1. And with some fiddling, I was then able to pull it off completely. It relies upon the two halves of the remote clamping together, and apparently the cord is simply too thin to keep from working its way out, whether by spreading the two halves when tugged on, or by having a maze-like path it finds its way through, or a combination of the two..I now just keep it loose in a secure pocket, but will take the remote apart (as you'd have to do to change batteries) and set about finding a thicker cord/lanyard which is suitably secure......or I'll bend/shape a keyring with needlenose pliers to fit and check that it can't come out.

This will save you a lot of money!
I recently bought a 2018 Toyota 4Runner. I now have my man card back after driving a Honda Odyssey minivan for the past four years. I had to give up a lot of bells and whistles one of the being my home link I had in the van. Being much manlier, the visors are thick and my 1970s garage and gate remotes couldn't even fit. They were literally falling off. I researched getting the homelink and in the process found this product and I am so glad! It took me a little bit of fumbling probably mostly operator error, but got my remote set up and with the included clip (that fit those beefy visors), attached and looking great! The gate took 15s, the garage a maybe 15 minutes just because it had a rolling code or something. It also comes with a little strap to carry on a key chain. Last thing I will add is the reason I'm leaving this review is because I was already back on Amazon to get myself a new one since my wife took the first one.

Very Convenient
This remote works great when you finally figure out how to program it. The range does not seem to be any stronger than previous remotes, and if anything it is probably weaker. However, I got it to work with my two garage doors and a community gate! Definitely watch the video on how to program it before attempting because it is very confusing. The trick to the garage doors is that you have to copy the code and then REGISTER IT WITH THE ACTUAL OPENER UNIT like you have to do with the regular garage door remote. You copy the code onto the Why Evo and then hold the pair button on the garage door motor and hold the Why Evo programmed button. It works after that! As for the community gate, the remote for the gate didn’t transmit the code long enough so I found that I had to press it over and over for it to transmit long enough for the Why Evo to find it. It successfully works!

Worth the extra money.
I bought this remote after trying two cheaper models that I believe were from China that I could not get to clone my gate remote. I also bought them from Amazon. I first tried facing the source remote and this cloning remote head to head, but it was not able copy the signal. I then put the source remote facing the right side of this remote and was to copy the in gate signal and then the out gate signal with no problem. This one works well and now I’m able to leave the original remote safely at the house, should I ever need to clone another one or to a HomeLink remote system that is built into some vehicles. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money and buying this remote.By the way, I requested a refund for those two defective cheaper remotes and receive it after the seller had me try several other techniques to get them to work. Since that did not work either, they thought I was trying to clone a remote that was not compatible with theirs. I then sent them a picture of the circuit board from my remote and after receiving it, they both issued a refund.
