This is a completely unique piece- a vintage book in appearance, this is actually a wood box which is wood-burned and hand-decorated. The "spine" opens into a drawer- perfect for jewelry, trinkets or any other keepsakes! The front appears to be the classic swashbuckling tale "The Three Musketeers" by Alexander Dumas. Our heroes, who end up as four musketeers at the end of the book, stand, loyal to the King and poised for action. It is flanked in a classic filigree in black. The title and author are in gold and are embellished on the four corners by the fleur de lis. The spine has again the title and author in gold and dark red with a gold musketeers hat charm, which is my favorite thing on the whole piece, lol. The back is particularly cool- it features everything you would need as a musketeer. Classic hat, sword, disguise, poison, horseshoe, secret correspondence. The whole thing is sprayed with a glossy, protective finish. This is an absolutely wonderful piece for any fan of literature, Dumas, The Three Musketeers, historical intrigue or royalty. Would make a great gift for yourself or for someone else! Also I will ship to countries not listed, but cost must be figured out on an individual basis.
