OK, first off, I have no business doing any kind of handyman work. I have zero coordination or common sense. I should just stick to what I do best...I'll get back to you. Anyway, these bulbs are excellent. They're attractive and very bright. The seem to be a bit cooler than the originals, but that is way more pronounced in the picture than it is in person. What deserves one star is my ability to read and understand product descriptions. These bulbs are BR40s. My ceiling cans accept BR30s. It turns out that all those numbers mean stuff. Who knew? Everyone man, woman, child, and chipmunk born after 1750, you say?? Who asked you?! Stop judging. So since I had bulbs that wouldn't fit, I ordered receptacle extenders, and what you see in the picture below is the final result. Yes, they extend beyond the can borders. I just tell everyone that they are nouveau riche miniature light fixtures. No one bought it. *This product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

I have four recessed lights in my family room that are 150 watts each and we spend quite a lot of time in that room so I wanted to switch to LED lightbulbs to save energy. These lights were well packed and there was no damage during shipping. They're bright (seems comparable to the 150w bulbs that they're replacing) but heavy. They fit in my recessed lighting can alright though. The dimming on these bulbs is smooth and without delay on my 10+ year old dimmer switch, which was great.Note that the color temperature isn't the softest (most yellow light) that is best for family and living rooms. I didn't pay too much attention to that and it was only after I had installed them when I notice that the color was a bit harsh for the room. Not a fault of the bulbs, but rather the consumer (me). Prefect. I received these bulbs and they fit perfectly. The are dimmable and come on and dim without any delay. They also do not flicker or make any noise.They are bright making my basement feel open. I love them. As I have only had them for a couple of days I will not be able to to tell you what I have saved in electrical cost. You can request my evaluation at a later date to see how they are doing.I received a discount for my review of these bulbs.
