Knit Happy Tape Measure-Purple

Yes, this little tape measure is cute. The tape itself rolls easily enough in and out of the plastic housing. My problem is I thought I was purchasing a higher quality product compared to all the other little plastic tape measures out there. On arrival, I discovered it is the exact "Made in China" plastic measure I have seen both online and in-store that someone has taken the time to place a cute little sticker with a sheep on the front of it. Other than that, it is cheap! You can get these things all day long at your local sewing supply (or on the internet) for one or two dollars, max. Probably cost the manufacturer less than .10 cents to make this thing. Don't think it will last long, especially with average to heavy use. Bottom line, for over 6 dollars spent on this, there are much higher quality tape measures at this price point.

This little tape measure is perfect for my project bag. The tape comes out & stays out until the button to retract is pressed.It makes clicking sounds as the tape is pulled, so if you need total silence in a tape measure, maybe look elsewhere.I love this little gadget!

This is actually a pink tape measure. After a month of use, the whole case just snapped apart when I tried to retrieve the end of the tape from inside of the case! No excuse for this piece of garbage to be sold.

It stretches to about 5 feet. Perfect for travel & knitting. Durable. A good buy

I love "knit happy" products and have a few other items by them (most notably a roll-up notions bag). This matches and is a bright, hot pink, which I like. Very convenient to keep on hand - obviously better than a loose measuring tape, but also better than the bars, flat ones as it is much longer and can bend to measure around things.

My favorite measuring tape. Cute as a button, and very durable (as long as you don't drop it on a cement floor like I did!) But even when I did, I purchased several more, because this is the best one I have found.

I bought a different one that was stitched together where the end piece keeps it from retracting into the body and it torn along that stitching only a few months after I bought it. This one, the end is pressed into a metal piece so no stitches to weaken it. Over all its better than the more expensive one that tore. Plus it's cute too!
