Beautiful, Sturdy, and Functional - Oak
This multimedia storage cabinet is one of the best "made to assemble" pieces of furniture. It came well packed. Quality (real oak veneer) and workmanship outstanding. The oak color is a true old-fashioned oak (like the photos of other reviewers) - not yellow like the online photo - not grayish or weathered like some new types of oak furniture. It actually matches an oak storage unit we've had for decades. Instructions might have been better if a narrative had been included with the pictures, but still assembled easily. Worth the purchase. Slight delay in delivery, but the company kept us informed for great c.svce.

Excellent Product
The product arrived with some damage on the exterior packaging. However, there was no damage to the inside packaging or the product. It was very well packaged. The assembly instructions did not contain any text but the diagrams were fairly straightforward. The only problem with assembly was that we used the wrong fastener early in the process and had to go back and redo part of the assembly. Look carefully at the first diagram as there is one two-sided fastener used to attach the back braces to the central vertical. Everything was very sturdy and fit well. It took approximately two+ hours for two very klutzy people to assemble this. The result is great. The cabinet is very solid and look expensive. We are pleased with the result and would buy product from this company again.

This Is A five Star Product...
....but took one off so you will read this. For about a $3.00/pound you get more than what you pay. The packing is the best I have seen. The outer packaging was battered on all sides from the long journey from China and the many hands and forklifts that touched it. But inside all was perfect do to extensive intelligent packing. The instructions are well above average (look carefully for item C for it is not listed on the drawing, but shown in the tiny drawing of it (should have had an arrow pointing). Took two hours to complete the assembly. All holes were spot on and exactly the right bore. size Be careful with the tiny glass retaining screws as there are no extras. The designer of this unit should be proud for it well thought out, all hardware better than average. You get plenty of shelves for any configuration. But be aware- the real wood claim is not 100%. The entire back is "photo wood". And the warning about toxic gassing is of real concern. I put it outside in the sun for a couple of days. If you live in earthquake country, screw it to the wall. It is quite flexible with a small foot print.Summing up- It looks great, quality made and designed, a good value, and arrives in good shape.

Horrible color
I wanted a yellow cabinet and the photo shows a yellow cabinet. Its old style Honey oak. The return process has been a nightmare

Best solution for a large video collection!
We ended up buying two of these cabinets for our DVD collection, and it was a nice color match to an existing cabinet we were placing them next to. I bought the first one, planning to check out the color match, ease of assembly and quality of materials before buying the second one. However the first one arrived (way ahead of schedule) with damage to one of the back panels, obviously caused by the carrier. It would have been a very difficult part to replace, so I did a satisfactory repair to it myself and once the cabinet was filled the repair isn't visible. Amazon worked with me to make an adjustment for the damage. The quality of the materials is excellent, with the doors, top and bottom being hardwood, and the sides, center piece and shelves being laminated high-density particle board. I used wood glue on all the pegs during assembly and this cabinet is rock solid. When I ordered the second one, it too arrived earlier than the anticipated delivery window, this time without damage. I assembled it in about an hour. As we are only storing DVD and BluRay disks, we only used 12 of the 18 shelves for each cabinet. My only wish is that it had been available in a taller size, but that's just my configuration issue. If you buy it from one of the sellers who have it for about $250 it's a good price.

Wonderful to look at and a VERY useful home furnishing! Highly recommend!!
My wife and I purchased very similar items some 6 years ago and our media collection has since expanded leading me to find a suitable addition. This is a PERFECT match 1x2 doors (tall) for the three cabinets we already have 2x3 doors (tall), 1x3 doors (short). Photos show the pieces right out of the boxes for assembly next to our existing units.Split into a two "double-boxed and padded" shipment, arrived with NO damage to the wood despite a few minor 'delivery dings' in the outer box of one. Easy to assemble, all small tools provided (you'll need a Philip-head screwdriver and the ability to follow the easy to understand assembly instructions). Assembles in ~ 1 hr and you'll need a pair of hands to hold some things in place while you connect them.

High Quality Media Storage
This was my third Leslie Dame Mission media cabinet. I also have the larger MS-1400 unit and another MS-700. The stock picture of the Oak finish cabinets is very yellow. The actual color is what you would expect of a light Oak finish. I apply wood glue to dowels and holes before assembly. I also apply glue to the grooves that the backing sheet slides in. After assembly, before the glue dries, I just wipe the excess off with a moist rag. It probably isn't needed but, ads extra rigidity to the assembled cabinet. You need a second person to hold the vertical segments of the cabinet while they are being assembled. On the smaller MS-700, and with careful planning, you may get away with doing it by yourself but, play it safe and have someone help you. These media cabinets are temporarily not being imported and I was fortunate to find this unit stateside. It was described as a "freight salvage" item, originally shipped in 2020, but in near perfect condition. Since I knew that the unassembled units are shipped double boxed and carefully packed, I took a chance and ordered it. The cabinet arrived in the original packaging, and I couldn't find anything wrong with it.I'm very pleased with my purchase.
