Q: How long is the wire from the plug to connection and is it waterproof?

It was long enough to run into the boat and up out of the bilge and is water proof. I had to add wire but wanted to run it of a switch from my dash. Was a very easy light to install!

Q: If the light is stainless and the housing is brass what prevents galvanic corrosion

Not real sure but I will give advice Im welder fabricator /mechanic 27yrs I’ve had mine in for almost 2 years only time it’s ever stayed in the boat for more than a day is first month we bought the boat it stayed in for 12 days with out coming out of water. As long as you put a protectant on brass like thin layer of polish wipe back of real good take the plug out and clean it every time the boats out of water it will be fine for a long time. Clean and polish brass about 2 maybe 3 times a year unless I’m saltwater then I would do it weekly and still that’s not gonna help much either. But fresh water will last a long time I live mine super bright while still and lights the wake up for a bigger area than I thought.

Q: Is this to hardwire model? Does it include the wrench?

The cord that comes with the light needs to be hardwired into the 12 volt system. The cord does also have a plug within it to disconnect the light when removing it from the drain plug. The plug is about 3-4 inches from the light, which can be a little difficult to reach in boats where you can not reach the drain plug easily from inside the boat. This plug allows the light to be removed, as well as prevent the cord from being twisted while unscrewing the light from the drain plug. The wrench for the light is not included.

Yes, you can use it with a nylon threaded drain plug. Typically with any plug installed, you would want to put teflon tape (same used for plumbing threaded connections) on the threads prior to installation. 3 passes around the threads is usually sufficient, but may require more depending on fit. I've noticed on my brass drain plug that it required more. Be careful not to overtighten, strip, or crossthread the threads on your drain plug since it is nylon.
