When it finally failed, it did so in the unlocked position. Quite a pain! Anyway, ordered this and although it wasn’t the easiest to install, fixed the issue. Happy customer. Review: If you're handy and have the patience, you can replace it yourself - So far, so good. Purchased to replace a jammed actuator (mechanical failure) on a 2007 CR-V. It took two of us about 4 hours in total to replace given the age of the vehicle and many parts simply not wanting to cooperate during disassembly. Absolute pain in the butt to replace yourself, however, so long as it continues to function without issue, this aftermarket actuator is great bang for your buck compared to the combined cost of labor and a factory replacement. (I read that aftermarket door actuators have a higher rate of failure and will update my review if anything changes.) ***Helpful tip: Consult multiple videos as needed. You do NOT need to disconnect the rod from the outer door handle, as shown in many videos. It's not necessary and can cause more pain than its worth during reassembly (so I've read). Instead, leave it in place and disconnect it at the bottom from the actuator only by removing the plastic clip.
