Does the plastic pitcher have a handle or not? Thx!** A: The Cover, which reduces noise of blender, has a handle. There is no handle on he blending pitcher inside of the Cover. **Q: is the jar glass or plastic?** A: plastic **Q: Does the bottom of the pitcher come off for easy cleaning and food removal?** A: I haven't tried to remove it since there is a cleaning cycle - you add water/detergent and turn it on to make sure the pitcher is clean. For liquids (e.g. smoothies) I have not had to use this, I can get it very clean just washing by hand. It is also dishwasher safe. **Q: How does this do blending ice? Could it blend a whole tray of ice?** A: It may do ice but the motor seems to peter out after a few seconds I would save my money and purchase a better blender.
