The loom was in great shape with no defects
I had purchased the same loom from another seller on amazon and it was defective and the wood looked cracked. I returned the loom and the same day purchased another. My new loom arrived today. Wow what a difference! The loom was in great shape with no defects .It actually looked 100% better than the previous loom. I love this loom. It is very easy to use. If you are new to using a loom this is the one you should buy. Its very user friendly. The hardest part is setting up the threads. Practice makes perfect. After a few times its easy. I would recommend this loom to beginners and advanced beaders. There are many youtube videos that can help you get started.

Changed my beading lice BIG TIME
OMG. I love this loom sooooo much. I recentally went from a cheap beginners type look to this and boy is It is 100% worth the price. Below is a little pro and con action for you folks wondering if it's worth it. Pros Only 2 warp threads left at the end of your project! Yaay! You can make very long pieces or short. Easily adjustable Easy to set up and use Solid design. Very durable More ergonomic than traditional looms Cons Cannot adjust size if piece once you start beading. You need to know the exact length of a piece when setting it up. It's pretty large. Not too easy to travel with

Better then what I expected.
This is a great little loom. It is sturdy and solid. I got this because I was tired of having all the little threads left over from my bead loom projects. If you are used to regular types of bead looms this one takes a bit to get used to. My problem is that I developed the habit of having a very high tension on the warp threads (threads attached on the loom). The warp wires are thin. Too much tension will cause them to get out of shape. A little extra care is needed to avoid this. Because the tension isn't as tight as I like, the first 2-3 starting rows are a bit trickier to do. Also it takes a bit of practice to get the pegs used to hold thread in place. These can pop out if not inserted tightly. There is a strong magnet at the end of loom, perfect for placing needle or scissors. My complaint is simple. The warp rods are held in place with small pliable tabs placed on the ends. They are tricky to get on. The hole is very tiny and nearly impossible to see. They are also nearly impossible to find if dropped. I would suggest keeping any extra pegs, warp rods and ends in a plastic eye glasses case. The case keeps the thin warp rods safe and everything is in one place. This loom can do beads of different sizes together. That is a plus. The web site for this loom has video instructions for using product. That is great if there is a use problem.

Great loom, especially for wider projects
I've only had this loom for a few hours, but it's enough to have finished a small project and gotten a good impression of working with it. I love it already -- I like to make really wide cuff bracelets with 11/0 and 15/0 beads. With a regular loom, I end up with 30 or more warp threads to deal with, so I always end up having to back the piece; even then, it's a chore finishing off with all that thread to deal with. Having two warp threads at the end is a HUGE time and headache saver. One caveat: I definitely agree with another reviewer who recommends weaving through a few rows at each end before taking the piece off the loom. Those ends tend to be really floppy otherwise. But an extra few minutes to weave through 5 rows or so firms them right up and preserves your pattern. Highly recommended for both beginners and more advanced bead weavers!

Great loom
This loom is easy to weave with but I am still working on getting my length right. Also you need to use pretty uniform beads so the ends will be straight. It is a well built loom and I like the fact he added magnets to hold the needles. If you are new to bead weaving then read the booklet and watch the Youtube video on it and you should be fine and have fun using it. If you are an experienced bead weaver already then bead how you are used to, you just need to get your length worked out. I sew pieces on cuffs so I need to get my length precise. Good loom for my loom collection! Yes I would recommend it to others!

great improvement to loom beading
I mostly do my beading off the loom, but wanted to give gifts with the persons name on it in beads. This worked great. Took a few minutes to string the loom. The first row took a bit of time the first time, but after that, was no problem at all (once I figured it out). Once done, it was nice to only deal with the three threads to finish off - the two for the loom threads, and the one from threading the beads. (I though about giving 4 stars since it has a limited length, but for most projects I plan on doing, it does a great job)

Update - I'll have to do several more projects to get used to it better, final vote on confidence to recommend is not ...
Second Review - Several months later - several projects finished. Love this loom, it makes a very fine finished piece of jewelry (at least I like to think so). Yes, you need to keep the warp threads tight, a few tricks I've learned to allow for a better experience over time. First Review - I bought this out of the frustration of having to weave in the threads you get from traditiohnal looms and yes, this is so much easier. I'll have to do several more projects to get used to it better, final vote on confidence to recommend is not firm yet.

It's okay, but not as easy peasy as you would be led to beleive
Here's the thing. There are much better looms out there to invest in. I found it difficult to manage the warp threads. In addition, the weft threads snag on the hooks when pulling through. It true that you finish with less warp threads to be concerned with, however, the finishing of the final rows are frustrating. If you are new to bead looming, start with a very basic loom or make your own. Save your money for beautiful beads!

Two Stars
Very difficult to get, and keep, the right tension. The first and last rows are hard to stitch.
