I usually don't succumb to gadgets, which is why I decided against EMF amulets you wear around your neck, stickers or EMF neutralizers you plug into an electrical receptor to cleanse the air of "electropollution". After researching these types of items, and learning how and why they don't work, I began researching negative ion generators and stumbled upon a very natural item that is proven to cleanse the air in more ways then one. I was surprised some of my favorite Bloggers and health gurus were also supporting the use of salt lamps for that reason.So now I want a lamp, but which one? I spent several days reading a ton of reviews, not only on Amazon but on the web, watched YouTubes and even called a few manufacturers (that was a joke). What made me most wary was the electric melt-downs with the dimmer switches, how do you know about those switches since they all look the same? After a couple of days of going over the plethora of options, I kept coming back to Whiteswade. His firebowl is larger and heavier then the other bowls, and there were quite a few very positive customer service comments. I also settled on the bowl because I felt it would give off more negative ions from the amount of surface area of the individual rocks and the bowl combined. He also uses a incandescent bulb, which will warm the rocks, instead of an LED which doesn't.When I got this firebowl I was blown away by how heavy it was, and the perfect shape of the bowl itself, nothing wobbly or uneven. The base is very pretty, dark (which I prefer on a dark counter). There is more then enough rocks, I had to redo it several times to utilize all of them...and they are all beautiful pink rocks, no black. When I turned the lamp on, it was magnificent and love at first sight. The bowl is so beautiful lit up, you can see the striations and then the rocks literally look on fire. It is especially spectacular at night.I have this placed next to my laptop in the kitchen. I think the kitchen is the worst place for EMF, considering all the electrical appliances plus a smaller LED television, etc. I leave the bowl turned on all day, and usually in about 20 minutes I start to smell a fresh aroma from the bowl, and when I actually stick my nose over the bowl, it smells like sun-dried laundry if that makes sense.Lastly, customer service. Before I bought this bowl, I emailed Whiteswade twice, with more then a few questions and I was answered nearly immediately, not in a few days, but like in a few hours. If you have any doubts, I'd go with this fact...good customer service. This firebowl is much better then I thought it would be, and I will most likely buy a few more.

This lamp is my first salt lamp, and is absolutely gorgeous! The salt rocks and lamp are of very high quality - it looks amazing sitting on my work desk. Other reviewers had mentioned the lamp was larger than they imagined, and I agree - which is a good thing! During the day, I have my lamp on and it puts out a subtle glow, and by evening it softly lights the room and displays an amazing amber color! I am extremely happy with my purchase!Side note on Whiteswade's stellar customer service... Shortly after receiving the lamp, I received an email from David checking to make sure I was delighted with my lamp. I said I was, but mentioned the dimmer switch might be faulty. David immediately responded that he had overnighted me a new dimmer switch at no charge!! I can't recommend this lamp, or this company enough.

Meh, I bought this because I liked the color but when I got it, the bowl was extremely pale compared to the pics in the sales ad. I took a picture to show what the end result looks like. The rocks don't actually fit inside the bowl and pretty much just sit on top of it so this wouldn't be good in a non-steady area or if you have cats that might decide to play with the smaller pieces.

This is the prettiest salt lamp I have ever seen. Great quality...dimmer switch, big bowl, plenty of rocks, no flaws. I will be buying more as gifts and I also want another one for my living room.Update 6/08/17. I bought this lamp for its beauty only...not really expecting any health benefits. For years I have had problems falling asleep, I just could not get my mind to shut down. Now when I lay down I fall rite asleep and it's wonderful. Another thing, i could never take a nap during the day...I am now napping. Best purchase I have ever made. It is in my bedroom and makes a perfect nite lite.

High Quality! I ordered a different brand from another seller originally and was extremely disappointed. I hated to take another chance but I was impressed with the pictures of the Whiteswade bowl. I have now ordered two salt bowls and two other Whiteswade salt lamps. All four lamps are beautiful. The lamps have benefited my dogs also. My boy dog is high strung and my Sophie dog has a coat that is smelly. After several days with the lamps I have a mellow Roscoe dog and a no-smell Sophie dog. I have received many benefits from the negative ions. Would love to have more salt lamps and they will be purchased from Whiteswade.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift and they loved it. Himalayan Salt lamps are relaxing to look at, to put one of the rocks in your hands as it warms them and feels so good, plus they improve the environment. Read up about the “positive’ effects they have on the environment, the mind and the body. I currently have two Salt Lamps, the “Levoit Ezra Himalayan Salt Lamp” (beautiful) that I purchased on Amazon, and a Himalayan Salt bowl which is larger that this product (purchased at “Bed, Bath & Beyond” with perfectly round Himalayan Salt balls. When the balls get warm, I hold one in my right hand which is good which is also soothes arthritis pain.

This is the second of these i got from the same manufacturer ... the first one was a gift and absolutely beautiful .. free of blemishes. I liked it so much I bought this one, even though I believe that the price doubled. But I expected the same quality. I was disappointed to find this darkness (see picture) on the side of the bowl, which I guess is some kind of natural sediment, but just ruins the appearance. It is actually a streak that runs through. I guess it is a "unique characteristic." Other than that, it is packaged well and arrived in excellent condition.
