Works great. The photo posted in the ad is wrong. It is picture of the model sold outside North America, which does not have Dolby encoder. I found this out from PVI Sales. The model shipped to US/Canada/Mexico is about twice as long (from top to bottom) to allow room for the Dolby board. The attached picture (if it is visible here) is the actual appearance. Also, the documentation could be better. Many options in the settings are not explained, and there is one doc that suggests changes from default that don't work well. It is necessary to sign up to correspond with PVI, and there are 2 separate accounts needed - one for sales and one for support. They do reply quickly however and answer questions.

There's a good reason that they don't take returns. Just received another one of their products. Audio slips out of sync. You'll need to spend more to modulate ATSC or QAM, just face that fact. These guys over promise and under deliver. All marketing, no engineering!

I've tried to contact tech support thru their SUBMIT TICKET portal and still have not had an answer to problem.Still waiting 1 week later, submitted again 10/28/16I am UNABLE, after configuring for Component (YPbPr) input , I cannot get anything to process thru this input.HDMI is ok, but Component is not working even after using 3 different devices and changing cable sets.

So far this unit has worked exactly as expected. Technical support is good if needed. The unit comes preconfigured to transmit on channel 10. I needed to change the audio configuration in order to get it to pass the audio through from a DVD player via HDMI, but after I figured that out it worked well. It also worked in my testing when fed with a composite video signal from a lower quality camera.

PVI sells overpriced junk. It won't work right and when you get it they will refuse to refund your money. AVOID like the plague!

Outstanding product. Only criticism is that the documentation needs work. I had a unusual application for it and it preformed well.
