A real 'coffee table book' which is also an excellent reference book for planning
If you like to travel, and even if you DON'T own a car, get this gorgeous book. I've been lucky enough to have driven quite a few of the routes both here in Europe and in the US & Canada; the descriptions are spot on. Some might say it's a bit North America & Europe-biased, but on the other hand a lot of other places haven't got so many routes, even till now. And there are a lot of amazing roads to drive, I assume they had limits to how many they could include. Don't ignore the routes described in the 'brief' reviews just because they're not the 'headline' routes! - I've driven many of those and they are also memorable. One tiny criticism is that it would've been nice if they had included references for good maps, e.g. topographic maps (from whatever country..) or other informative sources.

National Geographic Never Disappoints
I expected the book to be full of fabulous photography, and I was not disappointed. Flip open the book and take a virtual trip through the pages, or choose a route and pack your bags. The book is full of useful information on some of the most beautiful trips imaginable. I gave the book to my husband as a Christmas gift, and I'm sure it will be a source of ideas for some of our future travels.

Fun Coffee Table Book
I love to drive so when I saw this book I had to have it. Of the drives it highlights in the western United States I can vouch that they chose well. I added the circumnavigation of Iceland to my bucket list because of this book.+Great Photos that are well identified+Big book, (like 18" by 10") could hold it's own on a coffee table without any other reading material+Well chosen road trips and drives within the text+Plenty of information to implement any of the drives it mentions-The text is sometimes small so don't think you'll get away because it is a big book.-You can tell that not all the photos are taken from easy to get to locations from the drives the book sends you on.

A driver’s dream
Givingas a gift to someone who loves to drive, so we’ll have to wait to see how he likes it. The book is full of beautiful photos of interesting places to drive. I like the production and idea of it.

Great coffee table book--and some of the drives are in U.S.
Beautiful photos although the layout is a bit odd...kinda jumps around from continent to continent. But photos are great. Have driven in some of these countries so I'm not sure how you would be able to enjoy the view and arrive at your destination safely. Think the journey would be more enjoyable as the passenger :-) BUT the book makes a good addition to your bucket list.

You just can't go wrong with this book
This book is beautiful, the pictures are great and it definitely makes me want to start planning my next trip. It has plenty of ideas for the person who loves driving. It even shows you little maps on some of the pages that show you the route to take, just awesome! :)

A very good guide
Inside information is pretty much complete, especially to a newbie. But also from a newbie point of view, the information is not 100% conveniently organized. Say I wanted to go to Italy, then I have to look up the index under "Italy" to find out what I was looking for. Maybe I need something like "Italy Tourist Complete Guide". Anyway, I never regret buying this book - An excellent book!
