I literally only use it in December to make cookies for Christmas and it’s held up for 2 baking seasons! The discs are sturdy! The shapes come out nicely! December 2022 After washing, using and washing again, some silver came off the top. Didn’t notice until the second wash after using. I did love the cookie gun and am having them send me another one and returning this one. It is super easy to use and the discs are metal, not the cheap, flimsy plastic. I can’t tell you how many of the plastic ones I’ve been through over the years where the discs just crack. These are very sturdy and definitely worth the extra $10 over the cookie guns with the plastic discs! UPDATE: I sent it back and had a new one on my doorstep the next day!! Excellent customer service. I haven’t used it yet but hopefully all goes well with this one!

Cleaning it's easy because you can remove all the parts. I ordered it late September and today is November 30th, all I can say is that it's very easy to bake perfectly shaped and buttery cookies and I have used it many times. **Q: Will this one press thicker doughs like cheese straws dough?**
A: This press will work for thicker dough once or twice.  Mine broke within a week. Just 2 days past return date.  I replaced it with an OXO that has a press handle instead of a squeeze handle.  The disks in this set will fit in an OXO as well.

A: Yes, Amazon sells Christmas discs from Wilton. It's called Holiday cookie disc set. There are 6 of them, holly, snow flake, JOY, bow, candy cane, reindeer.

It is nice and sturdy, the plastic on my other one broke. You can’t put the whole thing in the dishwasher, but that’s not that big a deal. The clicking of the handle was a little off the second time I used it, so I hope that part works better next time. It makes cute cookies and has a lot of cute little disks for it.
