Easy Cutting Lens Glass Circle Cutter Tool Stained Glass & Regular Glass

I just love this thing and am glad I didn't pay the extra money for the expensive one. It was a little rough at first but did cut very nice circles. Then I shot a little WD40 silicone lubricant down the crankshaft and WOW it's amazing now! So easy to cut with! And perfect circles every time. And I did as so many other users did and bought some liner (I used the mesh kitchen drawer liner from the dollar store) to keep the glass from sliding around. Excellent purchase.

This thing makes it so quick and easy to score a perfect circle in glass. It is easy to adjust the circle size too. The only drawback is, it is limited to about a 5.5" circle. I have a very small kiln so this isn't an issue for me.

Works as advertised. I don’t understand the complaint for a purchaser that it did not work; he must not have read the enclosed instructions.Perfect circle, perfectly sized to complete my piece on my first attempt, without a practice piece first. I would recommend, as I would recommend also reading directions.

In essence, this works. But i'd like to know if there's a different cutting blade for it.

The video shows it cutting but they don’t actually take it out to show the circles. Such a rip off! This thing wouldn’t cut melted butter and I followed the directions. All it did was damage my product.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend who has been on about a 2 year journey with stained glass art work. She had no idea that there was a tool that would cut circles! She has set up an entire work space for her art and it was really nice to be able to give her something super useful that will bring her joy for years and remove some of the tedium from the process. I will update the review once I have some of her feedback, but based on her reaction and the how sturdy the lens seems, I think you will be happy.

I’ve been taking mosaics classes for 3 years. Many of my projects require round glass pieces. This cutter was easy to assemble and use. Through simple adjustments, you can enlarge or reduce the size of the circle to be cut. It’s now a valued part of my hobby tools!

Thankfully, one or two reviewers mentioned using tool-drawer, anti-skid material on the surface where you set the glass to be cut. This works beautifully, allowing my cut lines to start and finish in line with each other, perfectly. For the size-scale markings on the cutting bar, I recommend the purchasers insert this bar "backwards." This way, the setscrew doesn't dig into the circle-size markings, and they will remain visible indefinitely. Using your palm on the cutting knob was another great recommendation made by others, and used by me. This method keeps the cutter moving smoothly, with even pressure, resulting in a very clean cut. I even managed to cut one of my circles from within the square of glass, leaving a clean hole in the blank, and a perfectly formed circle for my medallion. (No break-out lines needed!)
