As someone who works in management and has to train new hires, I have run across my share of people who look great on paper but have β€œquirks” which make them terrible in real-life. I played this game with several of my colleagues who have also been in the same situations with new-hires, and we had a blast. This game allowed us to joke, reminisce, and share some of our β€œhorror stories” from days gone by. I actually think this game would be fun to play with a human resources team to start conversations and maybe even problem solve some issues. On the other hand, this game is fun for anyone who has worked with that one person who makes going to work a living hell. One player is the hiring manager, using a job card to identify which position others are supposed to submit a candidate. This could be looking for a yoga instructor, chauffeur, or neurosurgeon. Players can select a qualified or funny profession from their hand. What makes the game interesting is the use of jobstacle cards, which can make a candidate less attractive. Who wants to hire a forest ranger for a tour guide if they are afraid of the outdoors? Do you really want a rocket scientist who refuses to talk to anyone without a PhD?What I really like about the game is that all of the job cards can be used both for a player's hand to submit as a candidate, or for use as a vacant position to be filled. Also included in the box are several blank cards for both jobs and jobstacles, so you can add your own. I have played this several times with the same group of people, and despite the fact that the same jobs and jobstacles keep coming up, they can be combined in new and hilarious ways.
