## Description

As enduring as the story it portrays, the Willow Tree Nativity is as loved today as when it was originally introduced in 2000. Its simplicity and form has made it a timeless classic. As a Christmas gift, wedding gift or self-purchase, the Willow Tree Nativity continues as a holiday tradition. And now, the Nativity Table Runner, with its gradation of gold to sand to gold color, and its open-weave texture, provides a beautiful fabric foundation for the Nativity scene. Since 1999, American artist Susan Lordi has worked in partnership with DEMDACO to produce, market and distribute Willow Tree, her line of carved figurative sculpture. From her studio in Kansas City, Lordi hand carves the original of each figure, and designs accompanying accessories. The pieces in this collection are cast and constructed from Lordi's original carvings and prototypes, and painted by hand.
