Size is small, but equivalent to most Crittertrail, wire and tube type cages. Wheel is fine, but does squeek. We won't use it. Water bottle is not see through and doesn't have a spring or weighted ball type spout. We will change that out too. Connections are compatible with Crittertrail and Habitrail tubes and connectors, accept for the ones on top which only hold the one that came with it. Those pass through holes are too narrow for other brands to fit through. Has 3 side tube connector side holes, and a shelf level with mini stairs leading to a self contained food bowl and the area to reach the water bottle. Other than the tube holes, the opening lid is the only airway (may not be enough circulation), but the top of the enclosure is clear and will contain all the bedding well. Top snaps into the base with some excess effort, not something a small child will be able to attach or detach without help from a skilled adult. Overall, I prefer this to a wire cage, and may continue my modifications by drilling some additional air holes, sanding around one of the top openings until it fits a Crittertrail tube, and cutting a slit opening in the back to allow me to secure a silent spinner wheel. (I'll use a Dremel tool rotary sander for the hole, and a rotary blade for the slit.
