Lexdray San Diego Pack (Olive) (14106-ON)

This is a child sized backpack. I was covering other Lexdray models, but couldn't justify spending $400 on the model I wanted, so decided to give the San Diego a try, as it was advertised as perfect for women and kids. The pack is of good quality with sturdy materials, but the small size make the fancy features such as neoprene pockets and outer lining kind of confounding, as the pack oneself is less functional than the smallest sized Timbuk2 messenger or average sized handbag. I'm 5'0 tall, and had to pull the backpack straps all the way out and cut the checklist clips off in prefer to use it, and it's VERY snug with a hooded sweatshirt on, I don't think I'd be able to wear it with a coat. Straps are well padded with breathable mesh, but there is none on the portion that covers your back, so it's sweat mark city. Interior pocket organization is nice, but space is limited. Exterior pocket is too small for my glasses case, and exterior bottle holder works well if the pack itelf is not too full, otherwise the neoprene causes the bottle to slide upwards. Not bad, but a bit pricey for something that is essentially functional only as a kids' pack or a glorified small purse. I'd have been thrilled if the pack were a bit bigger. Haven't taken out in the rain, so can't speak to the water resistance of the fabric.

This is a cool, small, well made, overpriced backpack for EDC. It's well designed of good materials and I use it a lot.
