How many are needed per room?** A: Hello, every situation is different. You would need a Stetzer Meter to exactly find out how many filters your house needs. --- Put at least one or two filters in your office and bedrooms. To use a filter with a large strip is fine. **Q: What is the best way to use this filter if you still need to use the socket?** A: 1. Put a power strip on one side and use that for what you need and put the filter in the other wall socket. 2. If that won't work, put in a power strip and put the filter in the socket nearest the to the wall socket. Hopefully you have enough sockets. Best, Anna **Q: Can't afford to buy more than one or two at a time, do they work to decrease EMR on a room to room basis or does the whole house need the filters?** A: From what I understand the whole house needs the filters, I didn't find they impacted anything further than that room. I read that a 2000 square foot house needs on average 20. Of course this is a huge expense. I have a house that size and I started with 6. I measured the output throughout the house and put them on the outlets with the highest readings. I figured I can buy more in the future but you could read how much it immediately decreased it on the plugs surrounding it when it was plugged in. **Q: Can I use these devices on 120v 20 amps appliances?** A: Yes, you simply plug 3 filters in the same outlet that your appliance is connected. I don't know exactly what mVp-p is (I'm not an electrician) but I do know that it's a measure of disharmonic noise in the line and that anything over 50 is generally bad. Of course, it also helps if you have a "Line EMI Meter" to measure before and after. I have an RF meter and can measure this. All power lines, outlets, and anything connected to them in my house radiate with intense RF, including my computer mouse and keyboard, which my hands rest on regularly (I work on my computer). I suffer from vasoconstriction in my hands, so I was attempting to remove the RF from just my computer to see if it would help... thus, I purchased 2 of these devices. They did absolutely nothing.
