Used this for anvil brewing system.
I used this with a 12/3 600-Volt CU Black Flexible Portable Power and NEMA 10-30P plug to make a 240-volt cord for the anvil all in one 10.5 gallon brewing unit. Works well and saved money.

It's a no brainer
I got a brew system that can use 120V or is switchable to 240V.I have a 240V plug in my garage and since my heating element can handle it. It only make sense to get better boil times and use it. However, I didn't feel like cutting off the cord and eliminating the opportunity of brewing on a 120V circuit.Either way because there is water involved. You must always use GFCI.This inline GFCI is rated 240V. I made the cord using 240V rated parts.I never had to cut the cord. I simply made an adapter that is less expensive than buying a 240V breaker and hiring an electrician to install it for you.It just so happens. I've been wiring plenty work as an electrician.This item is worth it's weight in gold.If you seal it up and make it waterproof then that's your call. However, I may use this device for many different applications.Enjoy.

Need to hit the button every time, but not a problem. Works well and wiring is pretty straightforward.

Works great and it is hard to find 240v gfci at this price
I had a gfci on an older window hvac unit having problems, I replaced it with this product and it is working great. It saved me $500+ not having to replace the whole unit.

It died after 2 years
This product worked very well for two years of very light use. I've used this product for a total of 20 times before it died in the middle of a job. Now it won't come on at All. So if you buy this, make sure to buy two or more for spare, because you will never know when this will stop functioning.
