I had never tried water bags before so I am not able to compare these to any others. However, they were smaller than I would have liked and were best suited for clipping to a backpack. Otherwise, they leaked when not standing up. They come with caps but they are hard to snap on and off and do not prevent the leaking. That was happening from the base of the spout. They were BPA free which was a plus but, overall they were just another junky "made in China" product. I returned them hassle free.
