5 BIG STARS!
This was the best Haven Point novel yet! I know, I know, I gave 5 stars to the other books too. Well I gave 4 stars to the first book, and if I could have given 4.5 to the other books then I would have. This one gets a FULL five stars!I loved Marshall's character progression! We met him in the previous book, but only briefly. He was a rough and work obsessed sheriff. It actually made me sad that he thought that he didn't need anything more in his life than his job. No family and no kids. Especially when he came from a big, mostly happy, family himself! (What's really sad is that there are people out there who really believe this.) I loved how smoothly the transition from I-don't-need-anyone to I-don't-want-to-be-without-them was. I really liked how Ms. Thayne had him not only fall for the right woman, but her two children as well. It all made SO MUCH SENSE for him too.Andrea was a wonderful heroine and the perfect match for Marshall! She has quite the backstory, and you really need to read the previous book, Riverbend Road, to get her full history. But that won't be much of a burden for you cause it's also a great book! SPOILER ALERT: Andrea is a rape victim. The heroine from Riverbend Road is also a rape victim, but Wyn's rape had taken place years and years before the book. Andrea's rape had only taken place several months before this book. My ONE criticism of this book is that I think that she would be having a bit more of a time dealing with the after affects of the rape and other attack from the previous book. I at least would have liked to see her going to see a counselor. Rape victims don't just get over being raped so quickly. Even if they have people to support and love them. Aside from that, I really loved everything about Andrea and her kids. She was an inspiring character. The little mystery going on with who was responsible for the hit and run and such was really good! I read a lot of mystery novels and more often than not I'm correctly able to guess the killer/criminal before the climax of the story. But Ms. Thayne surprised me! I was not expecting that culprit! The whole climax of the book was awesome and emotional!I can't wait to get to the next book!!!

Fabulous Christmas and Love Story
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Haven Point novels by RaeAnne Thayne. Each story is deftly told, bringing out each character's best and worst attributes, but making the reader love them, nevertheless. This book tells the story of Marshall Bailey, the Sheriff of a neighboring town, and Andrea Montgomery, a newcomer to the area, and her children, six year old Chloe and four year old Will. Marshall broke his leg when an SUV deliberately tried to run him down. His sister, Wynona, who was in Boise completing her Masters degree, asks Andie to keep an eye on him, since he was living in Wyn's house just down the street from Andie.Initially, Andie was slightly frightened by the huge dour man who never smiled. However, as the story progresses, Marshall falls under the spell of Andie and her children until he's forced to ask himself what he wants out of life. And in the meantime, he is attempting to determine who tried to run him down and why. This is a "feel-good" story with a most satisfying HEA that you won't want to miss! I highly recommend this book, as well as the other books in this series.

A little Romance, A little Mystery in Haven Point
Once again, RaeAnne Thayne paints a picture with words in such a way that she leads her readers with a desire to move into the lovely neighborhood of Haven Point. This series just gets better with each new book! SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT better acquaints Thayne's readers with Sheriff Marshall Bailey, a man totally dedicated to his career. A man who has no use for a wife or children. A man whose dedication to his calling leaves him void of emotion or sensitivity, except for those he serves . . . or, IS he? Andrea Montgomery and her darling children have endured and survived horrendous pitfalls. As a result, Andrea has vowed to focus only on raising her children as a single mother, leaving NO room for a man; especially a man involved in law enforcement . . . can she live by her own rules? And, can it really be that someone in quiet little Haven Point wants to harm the beloved Sheriff Bailey? Is his hunch correct, could that person really be . . .?Don't miss this wonderful read!

Repetitive formula
I really liked this book and it inspired me to read Evergreen Springs one of the author's other books. I discovered it was the same basic plot line with some small changes. Male hero strong handsome man with little time to celebrate this one saved by female hero. The small children were his in this book one of which was almost a carbon copy in behavior of the little boy in the other book. The characters had to deal with rather weak reasons why they shouldn't be together which all were resolved on Christmas Eve. I am not happy with authors who just churn out formula books for the publisher to make money.

Slow-moving and frustrating
This story about a female neighbor of a sheriff taking care of him while injured is quite predictable and has minimal romance besides their secret thoughts of being attracted to each other. Not much happens of consequence until a single kiss two-thirds into the novel, for which Sheriff Bailey apologizes, and Andrea says that actually she liked it. The author is skillful in describing the motivations of the likable characters. But most of any drama is saved until the last 30 pages or so of the novel. Not exactly a page turner.

Changed lives
The lives of five people changed one snow wind blowing night. For a mother and two small children starting over after her husband was killed, one young teen who lost his mother, lives with his grandparents and doesn't know who his father is and a town cop investigating money being taken from the evidence room.It was a case that the cop had been working when someone told him to meet him out of town at an old place to get a lead for the case . What happened there was a beginning of the changes in his life. You'll need to read and find out how things unfolded for each person. The story line keeps you wanting to know what happens next.
