6in SATA Power Y Splitter Cable Adapter - M/F

I bought this because I only had 2 SATA power connections and I needed a 3rd to use my extra internal hard drive and my dvd rom. When I hook this up, and all 3 devices my 2nd monitor gets blurry (like a 3d movie without glasses) and it doesn't recognize my dvd rom. If I switch the splitter power around (dvd to 2nd drive/2nd drive to dvd) the 2nd monitor would only display blackness... I put the splitter on the other power cable same things... Then I ran the splitter from either main power and put both ends to my drives and same issues... I tried every combination and had these problems. I am confident it is a problem on my end but I am not sure and couldn't find a solution so I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The product seems solid and since it works switched back and forth it seems like the product is fine. How much can really be wrong with a 4 wire connector? Hopefully I will find a solution, other wise I am going to attempt a 4 pin to sata converter.

The product is exactly what is presented. It fit the bill perfectly for a project installing the guts of an older computer into a new case. The drives in the new case needed a little more cable and this piece was just what the doctor ordered.Shipping was a bit disappointing. I have ordered many items through Amazon that said they would arrive in a couple weeks only to find them waiting on my doorstep the next day. I ordered this product a week before an out of town trip, left town for two weeks, then found the product in my mail halfway through the next week after returning. Good thing I didn't need it right away. I will admit the seller did not portray that it would be sent priority, but I didn't think it would take quite that long either.Otherwise, the product itself was perfect.

the only downside is it does not "clip in" like other SATA cables, just plugs in. If you are looking for a cable with the clips, keep looking. If your machine just sits under a desk this cable will work fine.
