EZCast 5G TV Dongle 1080p Miracast DLNA Airplay WiFi High Speed Wireless HDMI Display Receiver Supports 5G WiFi Compatible with iOS Android Windows Device

I was very skeptical when buying this, because of all the mixed reviews. I was looking for something I could connect to my TV without any wires AND without wifi. Chromecast, Amazon fire stick, and countless others all requires you to have wifi. See, my mom has no need for the internet or wifi, so to show her pictures, movies, etc from my phone to a TV was not possible until this little beauty came along.This dongle (funny word) is truly perfect. It connects to a TV without wires, without wifi, and I can emulate exactly what's on my phone on the TV screen. The dongle acts as a wifi, and you connect directly to the dongle, and not through wifi then to the dongle like others.If you want to put your phone's screen directly onto the TV (as long as the TV has HDMI), then this is the product. I had it connected twice for over 2 hours each, and it disconnected once each time, BUT I can't say if it was the dongle's fault or my phone's (maybe it went into sleep mode).This is a GREAT product that I HIGHLY recommend. NOTE: Connect the usb power supply to a wall plug, and not a TV usb port.

The device installation guide is worthless. It isn't clear how to mirror the screen of a tablet or device. While it is a no brainer on how to connect,this old man had a heck of a time fidgeting around with the android app and basically just played around trying things. I already had a chromecast and discovered it could do what i wanted much more simply. I watched youtube install videos but they weren't helpful either. This device will end up in a drawer of discarded technology. You can't win em all.

This dongle was unable to connect to my WiFi network though I have tried to connect it several times. I had luck connecting it to the network for one time only but when I wanted to browse the internet through EZCast channel using my iPhone 6 (IOS latest update), I noticed that the internet was too slow and after a little while it got disconnected. When it fails to connect to the WiFi network, it gives three possible reasons :1) password is wrong- I am 100% sure that I have been entering the right password, (2) fail to obtain IP address or (3) connection time out. The dongle is supposed to serve as an online streaming & browsing and as mirroring tool. Obviously, online streaming was not possible. I would try to use it for one last time with another TV and another WiFi network and would update this review with the outcome.The other purpose of the dongle is to serve as a mirroring tool. It was OK and as what has been said by other users, you don't need internet connection to mirror your smart phone. I was able to play stored videos, music on my iPhone and view stored pictures on my TV and even open the camera on my smart phone and see a live video from the camera on the TV set. However, the dongle sometimes get disconnected from the smart phone and I have to reboot it and in other cases it does not respond. I thought of using the internet while mirroring my smart phone but the problem is that when you connect your smart phone to the dongle, you are connecting the smart phone to the WiFi of the dongle (Ezcast) and so if you are unable to connect the dongle itself to the internet then your smart phone would have one possibility to connect to the internet while its connected to EZcast and that is 4G or 3G.Other facts I did not like about EZCast dongle are: having to use it through the application you get from either apple store or google play, plugging the dongle on the HDMI inlet alone did not power it and I had to use the USB wire given with the dongle to connect it to the USB on my TV to get the power, the inability to open YouTube or other similar websites directly from your iPhone when connected to the EZcast and that you have to open YouTube from the EZchannel which did not seem to be right for me, instruction manual is written badly and can't depend on.I have used Chromcast before and it was way better and faster than EZCast but it did not have a mirroring option.Finally, I would only recommend this for mirroring your smart phone screen into your TV monitor. If you want to stream and browse the internet, there are many other cheaper options on the market.

Need to improve the manual and publish english quick start. Once I fumbled around and got it working, works as expected.

This is an am awsome cast device, so far it works with android and windows 10 pending apple test. The only complain is the instructions are really bad not the dealers fault. This is original device EZCAST.

Sometimes it starts to work and then it goes blue on the screen. I have to unplug it and plug it back. Dont like that.But most of the time is fine to do screen mirroring.

I'm very dissapointed with the product, the app doesnt work fine, and you need an account for basic features like mirror.

Will not work without downloading the ezcast app and you have to connect and use everything through the app itself only.
