To make these handmade baskets there are many steps into the process. We use long leaf pine needles from Florida, and the basket is threaded with Butterscotch Wax Linen Thread. There are also Bright blue non-coated thread used as an accent. To create the resin center there are many steps to get the finished shinny look. We pour the resin into molds and color with Jacquard Pearl Ex Powdered pigment. Once it's harden it goes through a process to remove all the bubbles and edges are then smoothed down. When we are satisfied with the completed basket it is coated with shellac. Everyone of our baskets are unique and one of a kind. There are designed and crafted by us. The size of the basket is, 4.5 inches on the bottom with a tapered top of 5.5 inches in diameter x 2.5 inches high. The lid is 6 inches in diameter. The lid also has a hickory shell in the middle for decoration. This basket can have many uses, but the items must be dry and is used for decoration only. Made in a smoke free home.
