I was looking to clear my kitchen entirely of plastics so I thought these stainless steel food containers would be a good option for food prepping. Everything about them is great, the size, finish, ease of cleaning but one thing, which comes down to common sense really. If you do food prepping like me, you might take the container from the fridge (cold environment) and warm up the contents in order to put them back into the container to take it with you. The problem is that you're putting hot food into a cold metal container. The container heats up and expands and when you try to close it, you don't get a perfect seal which equals leakage. The first day I test drove my metal container, I closed the container and turned it upside down to test the seal, splat! My lunch fell flat on my counter. I wasn't surprised, it was truly my fault. The next day, I got a thermos and now I use that to take my lunch with me. These lovely metal containers now stay exclusively in the fridge unless I want to take a room temperature snack with me (cookies, dried goods, etc.).

These are absolutely perfect for toting about your lunch to work. I'm trying to reduce my carbon foot print so it was either stainless steel or glass. The glass is too heavy for everyday transport but these do just fine. I actually ended up ordering a second set too! In addition, I find that they help keeping things crisp if needed, like homemade kale chips or these awesome homemade Swedish crisp breads.

I bought these because I wanted an alternative to my glass tupperware that wouldn't be as heavy and wouldn't make me nervous about breaking in my work bag. These are super light-weight and hold much more than they look like they would, which is great, and I don't have to worry about damaging them. I don't like plastic tupperware because of how it can stain and get discolored (seems unsanitary that it can absorb whatever's inside of it) and because of the potential for plastic chemicals to leech into the food stored in them. These seem very airtight and have never leaked on my, even when stored sideways for a significant amount of time and holding somewhat liquid-y foods. I also like that they nest inside one another and save cabinet space that way.Unfortunately, I didn't quite think them through all the way and didn't realize I'd need to bring tableware to work too or only bring cold foods, because these can't go into the microwave. That's obviously not a fault of the product, but it makes them much less usable than I expected. Instead, I now mainly use them for home use which I didn't exactly need more of.Finally, the lids can sometimes be pretty difficult to get off. I think the counter-point to the seal being so great is that they get a little airtight and you need some strength to break that seal. The small dark-gray ring on the lids can pop up and be used for leverage and has a small air-hole underneath, which helps somewhat with getting the lid off, but sometimes when there's food inside I worry that it's all going to go flying once I wrench the two pieces apart.

I gave these to a friend to use and she loves them! She took her lunch + snacks to work with her and liked that there were different sizes, that they were sturdy and leak proof! She also liked that they are stainless steel instead of plastic or glass, so safe + won't break easily. She is very happy with them, thanks for a great product!

I purchased these for my husband to put his lunches in for work. They are well made. So far leak proof, and because they seal so well they are a little tuff to open at first.However, that is what he likes about them. They can take a little rougher treatment without falling apart.

I've used these once, but can revise my review ifI find any reason to be disappointed after future use. So far, I can say I love the design. I like the little "handle" and that that's the method for "burping" the air from the container. I carried a meal with sauce in it to work today and there were no leaks whatsoever.

I just received these and so far I like them. When I wash them a black film comes off on the cloth, only from the outside of the containers. That doesn't happen on the inside, thank goodness.The containers are light-weight, and I like the way the lids fit.

I don't like the plastic lids.Bt this is the best i could fine in my price budget for storage containers that aren't or glass.And plastic is just a big NO NO for the sake of our environment.Only wish they made bigger containers for big leftovers.
