OHD Replacement Weatherseal P-Bulb Bottom Weather Seal Fits Overhead Door Models

The seal is thin and flexible vinyl plastic. I'll say it should last at least 5 years as long as it isn't overly crushed by the door, so be sure to balance the door tension spring and/or adjust the opener's stop switch so the door stops just after the seal makes contact with the floor. It works with an Overhead Door Company brand door, although the P-bulb was slightly smaller in diameter than the seal installed with the original door 20 years ago. They ship the seal rolled up which unfortunately imparts visible creasing and kinks every few feet. I'm hoping those will disappear as it softens up in warmer weather.Tip: When removing the old seal, don't pry the old track open too much. That will make the old seal easy to take out, but much harder to keep the new seal's thinner P-bulb bead in place. Just pry open one end of the track just enough to forcefully slide out the old. Clean out the track (brush or compressed air) and lube with wd-40 or silicone spray. It took only a few minutes to install with a clean and lubed track.

My suggestions for installation. The track in the door MUST be clean. Mine had minor rust. Brush first to remove debris. Clean track with Brillo or SOS soap pad. Wipe dry. Then wire brush to remove rust and smooth track. Use mix of dish soap and water. Apply to track with clean paint brush. Having 2 or 3 people really helps. One pulls the seal after insertion in one end of the track. The second stands at the insertion end and feeds the seal and keeps it from falling out of the track. A third person can help guide in the middle if it is a large door. Mine was 16 feet. Once I figured out the prep and got help the seal slides in easily in about 2 minutes. Takes a few minutes to smooth and even the seal. Mine seals perfectly. Great product!

This was a direct replacement for the bottom seal on my garage door. I was able to replace it in about 30 minutes but it would have taken less time with a second person to help. It was easily installed and looks good. I haven't used this seller before but I would again and recommend them to a friend.

This weatherseal did the trick and was easy to install. The only complaint I have is that the bead diameter is just a bit too small and made me concerned about it coming out of the tract. When you lubricate the tract with WD40 it can make it really slick and more prone to slipping out, but I have had it installed for over a month now and it works perfectly fine. For the price and ease of installation..... you just can't go wrong!

Although the bead diameter measured the same as the seal that came off my garage door, it did not want to stay in the groove. I wound up having to use a punch to crimp the slot that the bead fit into. After doing so, the seal works great and is holding up well, much better than the junk they sell at Home Depot and Lowes.

Excellent product but a pain to install. Make time to install since it isn’t easy. Had to use WD40, come along, rope, vise grips, and soap and water! Now that it is installed it fits perfectly.

Not too happy with this, I did get it in place, but it was a struggle, I'm sure if it's stepped on lightly it's likely to pop out of the track or may just from the motion of the door. Took almost an hour and the help of WD40 to put it in. My biggest complaint is that it has no shape, much like an deflated ballon, and is very thin rubber. The original needing replacement was much thicker and held its rounded shape well, lasted 16 years. This one I'm not sure it'll last for more then a year if I'm lucky and it wouldn't be a shock to find parts of it slipping loose from track I worked so hard to get it to slide into.. I had no other option but to make it work so I did.

Very nice quality; not as thick as the original which was made out of rubber. This item is a synthetic type rubber. New seal fit without any problems
