Worked for a 12v WS2811 pixel string. See notes.
Connected a standard 12V RGB W2811 100 pixel string (300 total RGB LEDS) and a 12V power supply and it works out of the box after a brief setup that allows you to scan to the last LED and setup hi/Lo communication speed (most ws2811 are hi speed). In addition to pattern speed there are over 100 programs. Remote control worked out of the box as well. Two items prevented me from giving it a 5* rating. First, you cannot adjust the brightness on any pattern including static colors. The second issue is the order of the RED-GREEN-BLUE colors of the string connected to the device cannot be changed (on my string, the red-green LEDs are switched). Patterns are pretty but the brightness is a little choppy during fading chases. Instructions are mediocre, the translation is a little rough.

Doesn't work with LPD6803 LED/chip.
Doesn't work with the common LPD6803 LED/chip. Otherwise the quality seems good, the connectors work well. Note that only the produce name mentions LPD6803 and the description leaves LPD6803 out of the list of supported chips. According to manufacturer's site, there are different versions that look identical but work with different chips. Buyer beware and make sure you're getting the right one.

Works Great
I use these to power my custom LED lighted whips I made for my SXS. The Mini RF controllers I have don’t put out enough power for the amount of LEDs on the Whips, so with some research, this device suited my application. My next project is to find a way to protect this from dirt, mud, water! Easy to use, plug and play, I had to research some YouTube videos before I used this product, instructions don’t do any justice! Comes with a battery though! :-)
