FP7121MN - Fuel Pump Module Assembly E7121MN fits 1997-2000 JEEP CHEROKEE 2.5L-L4, 1997-2001 JEEP CHEROKEE 4.0L-L6

I own a 1997 Jeep Cherokee SE, not a Grand Cherokee and this pump was an exact replacement. It came with a new rubber gasket and I had to attach the float for the sending unit. It shipped fast! It was easy to install after watching a YouTube video. You will need the little clip that holds the gas line on from your old pump. It's delicate so be careful. I also left the filler tank tube attached to save me some time. The tank was angled 45 degrees hanging from the tubes. It made it tough to reinstall because the pump is spring loaded and you have to push down with quite a bit of force to screw the plastic ring back on. Also I had to be careful to keep the new gasket in place. After a few attempts, success! Before I strapped the tank back in it's place, I temporarily jacked it up into place and started the Jeep just to make sure. Started right up! I have zero complaints with this fuel pump.

Product arrived on time like always due to Prime membership. Stopped the problem I was having on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L. The issue i was having was the fuel pump would not hold pressure in the lines causing me to have to prime my pump 5-8 times before it would start. Mechanic installed and said everything went smoothly. Started right up after installing. Good product.

*** I don't quite know if it was user error or not, but after carefully installing the pump and seal I got an EVAP leak code. The top of my gas tank leaks fuel when refilling the gas tank. I will be reinstalling this pump next week and will update if replacing the seal fixes this issue. Pump went in just fine and looked like the factory pump. I was a little concerned, because I know I should be using the OE pump, but it's unavailable so I settled with this. Glad it's been working so far!

This pump would randomly cut out since the day I installed it. It finally stopped working all together so I pulled it out. It was completely eaten by the gasoline. Never seen anything like it. The plastic on the strainer disintegrated, the rubber feet on the bottom of the pump melted (one of them is still stuck to the inside of the tank). The black rubber gasket around the bottom of the housing disintegrated. I tore the strainer open and you can see even the plastic inside the strainer was melting. The gas in the tank was perfectly clean in case you're wondering. All the junk in the strainer is from the pump itself.

Lower quality, but worked but similar to others that are higher priced. Worked great after installation, solved the problem I was having.

So far it’s been pretty good. Took it to a trail where temps exceeded over 118 degrees outside. No humming, no leaking, and continues to start immediately after shut off. 1999 Jeep Cherokee.

Lasted 6 month before the fuel pressure regulator decided to check out while I was climbing a hill *that was fun*. Fool me once, but at least I got 6 months out of it I suppose ymmv

So first... it arrived damaged from shipment and I of course didn't open the box until it was time to install, tank out, cleaned and so on. Sent for a replacement and it arrived a mere two days later... Excellent service. The filter is bigger than the OEM so that is a good thing as the original was so dirty, it couldn't pull fuel. Installation was easy as the spring load will stay down during installation once depressed. Primed and started right up... drove it around and all good. Thanks!
