We have very strong wind so I placed part of a cement block on it Review: It is as bad as other reviewers say - I should have listened to other reviewers. This stand is terrible. To start with, it is covered with brown smears (see pic). I don’t know if that is supposed to look distressed, or like blood, or..,..,whatever the intent, it failed. It just looks like someone wiled it down with a dirty rag. As others have mentioned, the stand is not balanced correctly. Oddly, the pole mounts at a 90 degree angle to the H of the base, making it unstable. I have Crazy Bonez skeletons, but I had to wire them to the post because the clips won’t hold. Even when wired AND with the base weighted down, the skeletons still leaned forward and sideways. I had to put a brick under one foot to prop it upright. Also, it shipped very late and the seller did not respond to multiple messages. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Held up Against Windy Weather *by J***R on October 18, 2016* I have had good luck with these skeleton stands with harsh winds (40-50 MPH yesterday). The key was that I staked in the base of the skeletons using the "Suncast 8-inch metal garden stakes" Suncast 8-Inch Metal Garden Stakes, Silver (Pack of 4) (any good stake should do the job, I liked these because of the flat long head) Only needed 4 per base along the inside of the H. The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the hooks to attach the skeleton bend right away. Could not use it to hold up the skeleton. But there is an easy fix. I used 12 gauge wire and tied my skeletons to the stand with that. It has held strong through some very windy weather. And per the photo it is nice that the stands bend along with the skeleton leg. If your skeletons are wearing clothes you can use it to hide the stand. No one paid or gave me anything for this review.
