I listened to this once and all of my clothes are now neon
This album is absurdly good. I cannot begin to describe the number of plays this has in just a few days of me owning it. Driving with this on in the car is a life changing experience with the sounds of liquid 80's pouring out of the speakers. When I put this on, my Subaru Legacy transforms through the power of synthesizers and laser projectors into a Testarossa as I drive across a post-apocalyptic wasteland inhabited by gangs dressed in leather and spikes.Listen to a track or two. Get hooked. Love Gunship.

My personal album of 2015
Chances are good that if you're coming to this album now it's probably by way of other retrosynth/synthwave music. That's perfectly awesome because I love a lot of the bands and musicians associated with that scene and movement but I feel the need to say this album in particular stands out. Yes, all of those nostalgia hooks are there but the production values and cinematic scope of the music reach a point where Gunship isn't just referencing their influences but actually building upon and expanding them. Some of these songs sound like the soundtrack to a sci-fi film or novel that never came to be. The songs are rich and lush but also know when to be spare and breathe. That shows a lot of maturity on the part of the songwriters in my opinion. It's an album I can listen to whether I'm programming, out for run, playing a game, or just sitting down.I have no idea how well this album sold but I've made it a point to try and point it out to anyone who has love for things like cyberpunk, 80s synth, or cinematic music. My favorite tracks include Tech Noir (both versions), The Hegemon, Maximum Black, and especially Black Sun on the Horizon which is just haunting in a way that cuts to the bone.If you've been streaming this album let me make the plea to you right now to actually buy it. This album deserves it. So good!

Holy crap, this album is amazing
Holy crap, this album is amazing.I have always loved electronic music. I liked disco when I was a kid, I was into industrial as a teen. These days I've been driving around listening to vaporwave and synthwave. The resurgence of gated reverb in pop music has got everyone on that "omg so 80s!!!" aesthetic until they decide its overdone and get over it.. I will never get over this album. It's that perfect balance between beats with impact and effervescent, otherworldly synths. The lyrics (instead of spewing Neuromancer nonsense like some synthwave does) are grounded and the vocals have this ache to them that immediately finds its way under my skin. This album is about love and beauty, but also the apocalypse, which feels appropriate right now. It completely engrosses you in another world.

The flaws disappear in the neon bubblebath; instant synth classic.
I love this album, and don't dislike a single track. This won't be up everyone's alley; the lyrics alternate between truly affecting and a little dumb, and at times the music is derivative. However, at times Gunship transcends those criticisms and even goes farther, creating something truly interesting. Special attention to the tracks "Tech Noir", "Shadow Fury", "Black Sun on the Horizon", and "The Hegemon".I described it to a friend as a combination of M83, Bon Iver, The Deftones, and Genesis, and I'll stick with that. I'm very curious to see what they come up with next.If you like retro-synth or anything Cyberpunk, this album is simply a must have. No kidding, it's great; instant classic of the genre.

Good thing digital albums can't wear out...
I have been on a synthwave kick for a while now and purchased this album based on the previews and the reviews. This has ended up being without question my favorite album in the genre. This album has all the awesome synth grooves and tones that you might find on any great album in the genre, but also adds stellar vocals and just the right amount of screaming electric guitar. I own/have listened to a lot of music in this genre, and this one truly stands out as a work of art.I won't go into the songs individually except to say that they're all awesome and create a great arc to the entire album with only one song that I just can't warm up to (Black Sun on the Horizon, which musically I really like, but the vox rub me the wrong way).If you're into the genre at all, or are thinking that you want to own an album that you could describe to your buddies with the word 'rad', this is the one for you. I eagerly await their next effort!

Terrific Indie and Electronic music Fusion
This Gunship music collection is an impressive blend of electronic music and indie rock hits. This is definitely one of those music collections you can listen to the whole collection and have the songs grow on you. This music collection of Gunship by Gunship is imbued with much artistic emotion and soul such as with the beginning song tune that is Mountain, Fly For Your Life, and more.

Retro-tastic
I found this online while You Tubing Laser Hawk, who are equally cool. Gunship are a British retro synthwave band, and if you're looking for those classic 80's keyboard sounds, this is well worth it. I'm plunged back into the era every time I listen to them on my 40 minute plus commute to work...well worth it.

100% pure, pressurized nostalgia
I learned about this album through their official YouTube channel, and I've been hooked ever since. The Mountain, Tech Noir, and Kitsune are my favorite tracks. If you're looking for an OutRun/80s scifi movie sound, then you've made the right choice with this one!
