WAS a Great value
WAS a Great value late October 2016 when the 3 tier stand was $35.99. Getting greedy now with the price hike in less than a month. I do not think the construction warrants that. Same exact stand- no better. Anything to do with gardening is ridiculously priced - everything goes up $$ except your paycheck. When are these money mongers going to figure that out ??? We'd buy more if it was affordable so they wouldn't need to jack up prices. Logical - right ? I think Topeakmart was the only one realizing that until I saw the price hike while giving my review. Anyway, the framing on this 3 - tier metal stand is tubular square metal and the shelves are comprised of steel strapping supported by thick guage wire. Very close to the 9 guage wire I have, it may even be 8 guage so while not looking super sturdy, it's a fairly strong stand and very stable. I found it easy to put together with a few screws and nuts - a few minutes time at most. A tab or two containing the screw holes that connect the pieces stuck out a little farther so alignment is not perfect on a shelf or two but not really noticeable - Quality control can work on that. If you don't like the color you get, spray paint it with Rustoleum. I bought 2 as I use them in front of my bay window in the living room mainly for Amaryllis in heavy pots and these shelves are surprisingly sturdy. The bottom shelf is 4" off the floor. I really like the open design because I have them in front of my baseboard forced hot water heat so it doesn't interfere with my heat at all - and the plants like it. I've got 3-4 heavy clay pots on EACH shelf and there is no sagging. The strapping is slightly flexible but doesn't sag as the support of the crosswire and exterior frame hold it together nicely. Each shelf is 8-1/2" in width so they hold good size pots and each shelf has 4 steel straps running through - each are 1/2" wide. There is approximately 1" of space between each strap. So if you have footed pots just pay attention and turn so the feet can rest on a strap. Or, lay some plexiglass, tile, plywood, etc. across the shelf for a solid surface - be creative. I think they would look nice with a layer of coco fiber across them and pots on top of that - gives it a more earthy look. I am very happy with these stands, I would buy more later on as they are very handy and pretty well made, but only at the price I originally paid. $35.99

Decent plant stand , but had some damage and a missing part.
It arrived quickly and appeared to be packaged well, however one of the shelves is damaged in 2 places and I was missing a nut for it as well.

Poor craftsmanship
The slats are poorly welded onto the shelves. They seem unsturdy and I don't trust the weight of a plant on them. You can literally move the slats up and down by pressing lightly on them. What's a heavy pot going to do?

Good but not great.
While not quite as sturdy as I had hoped the stand is attractive and fit well in the space I had picked out for it. This is aluminum and fairly lightweight but not flimsy. It presently holds 7 medium size pots.

Excellent value
Sturdy, easy to assemble, and attractive. We use this inside now, for porch plants that must be kept indoors during the winter. It will go outside in the spring. A big plus: All the parts arrived unscathed because they were individually bubble-wrapped.

I like it
Exactly what I wanted for staging plants. It's a nice look, I received compliments from my neighbors and friends. It holds 3-4 medium size pots. I wouldn't go too heavy on the top rack but it can hold some decent weight. Easy to put together and move around.

Rust
Rusted in less than a year. Very nice to start but just didn’t last.
