Great Price - Solid Product - Good Purchase
Nailed it. For this price - any complaints you read are missing the point. Thinner rods will shift around in their holders and reels will knock into each other - but it looks good... works well... is sturdy, water resistant, and stable.Actually seems to have revived my kids interest in going fishing and literally 2 days after putting the rods in and having them displayed in the garage - kids are out fishing. What else matters?

Modified to hold my saltwater rods
I gave this 5 stars because I am a lazy fisherman that has been planning to build a rod holder for years and for $18.89 I finally completed that project! I have included 4 pictures that may or may not help you decide if this will work for you. One picture shows most of my rods in the holder. One picture show the measurement of the height of top holder. The ad says the measurement is 30 inches, but the top holder is not that high (that measurement is to the top of the post). One of my pictures shows a surf rod that is too tall to go into the holder. I am hoping to purchase a top rod clamp that is larger so I can replace one of the original ones with it so that rod will fit. The picture that shows the rod with yellow and what appears to be red lacing is 7/8 inches in diameter and just does go in. I am not sure it will hold good. That picture also shows that the rod handle is the maximum height that I could use. Would I buy it again, yes, as soon as I get off my lazy part and get a couple of larger rod clamps I will have a great rod holder, and you can’t beat the price. Is it real OAK wood? No, but it looks pretty good!08/13/18 updateI added the last three pictures to show the YYST 4 PCS Kayak paddle clip paddle holder paddle keeper VERTICAL MOUNTED NO SIDE MOUNTED clips I added to the rod holder. The rod diameter the fifth picture is 1.25 inches. The rod in the sixth picture (red and yellow) in 7/8 inch diameter. The seventh picture shows the clips I ordered from Amazon. This now securely holds all my rods!

Great Fishing Rod holder
Purchased this for my hubs & he loves it. The only prob we had was when we went to assemble, very simple w/ easy instructions, the screw "holder" on the bottom came out & wouldn't tighten. Which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Luckily, my hub's handy skills saved the day. He was able to get it placed better in the bottom so it would be secure & not wobbling all over the place. The fastners are pretty close together. The tops of the rods have planty of space, but where the reels are towards the bottom is a tight fit. We skipped a space a few times bc some wouldn't fit in the next fastner bc it was too tight. Fortunately for us we didn't have 16 rods so all of my husband's rods fit even after skipping a space. At $20 bucks we can't complain though! It serves it's purpose well.

Cheap and works.
Here’s the thing it’s really cheap by comparison of other fishing rod holders. It’s not the prettiest and it’s not the sturdiest. That being said it took like two minutes to put together and it works. Helped me clean up my gear. Before I was just leaning all my rods in a corner. They’d get all tangled or fall over. Now nice and organized.I can’t imagine this thing holding up to any kind of abuse. It’s just a couple bolts and laminated particle board. But as long as your not hard on it I don’t see why it would be much of an issue. It should last well beyond its money’s worth. The clips all seem to be pretty sturdy and really grab on the rod. All in all can’t knock it I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money and just wanted my fishing gear cleaned up. It filled those needs.

Poor quality control and customer service
The packaging is fine. The product looks decent. However, when assembled the top rod holder disc spins freely which causes the rods to all angle and tilt. The cause is the threaded insert was not inserted correctly into the middle support. The hole is over-drilled which causes the threaded insert to fall out. It is repairable, but why should I have to fix a new product?Update: I received an entire new unit from the company. It was unexpected as I was expecting replacement parts. Thank you for making the situation right.

Stripped the screw with barely any force
Looks nice, easy to install, however the screw on the post stripped with barely any force applied— it’s a two piece post and before it even got tight enough to hold the top section it just began spinning with no traction. Not sure how that’s even possible, with its design it should lock in place before it has a chance to strip. Pretty freaking ridiculous if you ask me. It’s a fairly easy fix (going to buy loctite adhesive) but the fact that I have to go spend an additional $6 to fix a flaw is unreasonable. Didn’t attempt return, would rather post review and inform other potential buyers of the shifty product. I would look elsewhere guys, there’s hundreds of options (quite literally). I got this product on sale which indicates to me they knew about the flaw. This is a common strategy for manufacturers who get returns from their retailers as a result of defective merchandise. Although common, it’s not right to take advantage of their customers.

Basic Rod Rack
Its a good product for the price at where it does what its supposed to do. Out of the box, it comes in four parts. It requires some assembly, no tools are required and its very easy to put together. The base and the top are laminated wood, not the greatest looking rod rack but for $20 you get what you pay for. So far, it holds my rods from a ultra light 4'8ft to an thick 8ft deep sea fishing rod. I do wish the rack holders where a little higher so it can be a little easier to hold the 8ft rod because its thick and you need to apply a little force to get the thick rod in the rubber holder. Its takes some work to place in the rods with larger reels in the rack since the spacing is a bit close. You can always take off the reels to just hold the large rods. It would be nice if the base could swivel but you need to pay a little extra for that. Its a basic rod rack that works for most rods and reels.

Easy to put together!
Came broken the first time but they sent a new one. Rod holder itself is great, super easy to put together! However it didn’t fit most of his fishing rods! We have it in the garage so perhaps the ceiling is too low? Anyway, out of all 20 rods he has, this only fit 1 (little trout rod). If it wasn’t such a hassle again to return it for the 2nd time then I would. Guess I’ll just have to buy him more trout rods now ;)

good product at a good price
Assembles in 5 minutes.. Well built.. no frills !Does the job hands down.Only negative point.. no way you can rack 16 rods with reels on.. But then again.. 10 is quite enough for me..A bonus... next day delivery at no extra cost.. Great service, Amazon !

did the job.
I had so many rods, and it became annoying when going fishing to untangle them from each other, this piece of wood did the job, now my rods are well organized and it give you a true pride of ownership and very practical.
