Is behringer xenyx qx1832usb mixer suitable for karaoke at home?

Absolutely. I use it for karaoke at the club. Best bang for the buck. It's got all the bells and whistles. Really don't think you'll be disappointed. I've been using mine for karaoke for about 5-6 years.

Is this an active/powered board? Someone told me it was, but I can't find anything online to substantiate that claim.

Yes, mine included a wall-wart to power the complete board. But is not an amplifier. You will still need an amp and speakers or active speakers ( speakers that have an amp built in).

Please confirm if this mixer works fine with windows 10. i only see asio4all generic drivers on behringer's site! do you have latency issues?

Yes, It's working well with windows 10, latency is not an issue with the mixer, if you have a better recording app the better the latency is :)

Does this Mixer come with rack ear side mounts?

No. It's way too heavy to be held in a rack that way, IMO, but, in any case, no, it doesn't have sidemounts. We put it on an On Stage RS9050 Adjustable Amp/Mixer Stand, which works really well, then we mount the other effects and the amps under it.
