This is the 8" X 1" wheel and will fit on any standard 8" bench grinder or buffer. It has the face of the wheel covered in leather. It has a 1" arbor hole with a sleeve that reduces to ¾" or ½". This is a leather clad wheel. It's a plywood wheel with leather bonded to the face and sides. The plywood is trued on a lathe; then the leather is trued after it is bonded. The Surgi-Sharp honing process is a lot like the old barber's strop, except they operate on powered equipment that are common in most shops and garages.
