do they get hot during the application?

The material is epoxy based and does warm up. I put them in my mouth after spreading the material. It is not hot, just warm. The taste is like any dental mold, yucky and it rinses out. This liner lasts longer than what I got at my dentist.

Are there any special hint and tips that must be used?? i'm looking for simplicity and ease.. is this an easily prepared and applied product?? thanks!

Well, it is probably too late for this advise: Don't go to a same day 'permanent' denture place...if you are a first time user....especially if you are having all teeth removed. Smooth out all rough edges carefully with an Emory board. Clean dentures thoroughly 'before' applying As, for taste, it didn't bother me at all. Do one at a time (I wish they made half solutions) and do the most problem - ill fitting- one first.
Watch as many videos as possible on applying this and similar products. This is by far the easiest of all that I have seen/purchased. The #1 complaint I've seen is the after taste; but doesn't apply to me. The next, is knowing the timing of the mixture. Waited too long for the first one or two...like trying to spread bubble gum...then cold jelly. Gone thru five. My tip is mix well, until like syrup, 'then' pour and spread until it get hard. Follow there "3-minute" rule to the letter. The most difficult of all above is removing the applied when it get old, hard or miss-applied. NONE of them worked for me completely. Just brought the Perma-Soft from this company.
It is, from what I've seen, the easiest of the over the counter ones and/or using cushions which have to be changed daily.

Can this liner be removed if not satisfied?

Yes.  I usually just let the denture soak in hot water and the liner can be removed quite easily.

The directions on the box say for temporary use only but all the people say they've used the recliners for years and years which one is the truth? also is one better than the other? thanks, kat

Hi Kay,
Although our products last a long time in the Denture, the FDA advises the use of over-the-counter denture reliners as temporary until you can see your dentist.  As far as which denture reliner is better, Perma Soft or ProSoft, that depends on the preference of the individual using the product.  Perma Soft lasts several months to two years in the Denture and is a firm Reline, whereas, the ProSoft Denture Reline kit is softer and more flexible reliner.
