After 4 months of tough daily use, including my daily office commute, constant traveling, and short day hikes, this bag is still going strong with no visible wear and tear. As expected from North Face, the bag has a nice feel and seems to be made out of high quality materials. My 16 inch Mac Book Pro slides into this bag perfectly and has soft padding that protects it from any harsh drops or taps on objects. It has ample storage within the bag while offering a good amount of organization with several different compartments. The bag is quite comfortable to wear as it has a padded back panel and thick shoulder straps. It also offers cool features such as a removable lower back support, a whistle on the chest strap and an elastic bungee system around the front of the bag allowing for all types of applications.Overall, if you are looking for a high quality and versatile bag, the North Face Borealis definitely suits that need perfectly with it's comfort and functionality.

The North Face Borealis bag in black is an absolute winner! It's spacious yet compact, with plenty of organized compartments to keep everything in place. The padded straps and back panel make it incredibly comfortable, even during long days of carrying heavy loads. Plus, the durable material and sleek design make it both practical and stylish for any occasion.

It was either this, or the Northface Recon. The Recon is a great backpack. I had one for years before I got my Borealis. However, the place where you would place the laptop at the back of the Recon allows your laptop to touch the hard ground when you set the backpack on the ground. Additionally, I found that the Recon had more of a tendency to fall over. Again, the Recon is good, but probably better for hiking than as a commuter backpack.The Borealis suspends the laptop by making the bottom not touch the bottom of the backpack... kind of like a little hammock. The straps are very adjustable, and the part where they attach on top is floppy (in a good way), which makes it a little easier to put the backpack on and also take it off.Overall, very, very good option if you plan to put your laptop in it.One think I don't like is how the very front small pocket doesn't have its zipper at the top of the compartment, rather it's in the middle. So if you're trying to access it from an upright position, stuff at the top of the small compartment may fall out.I recommend this laptop.
