Favourite smart plugs!
I first bought these Gosund smart plugs after the ones I had bought from B&Q stopped being sold in the shop. I downloaded the Gosund app and found that keeping the smart plug as close to the wifi as possible (same room) when connecting them to the wifi/app, these connected with ease. We also have deco mesh wifi where we have our own network and we connect these to that. Once connected, I then move the plug to the desired place in the house. As long as these smart plugs are available to buy when I need to buy more, I would buy these without a doubt. The app is easy to use, I use these plugs for various lights in the house, name the light a specific name and connect them to Alexa and just ask Alexa to turn on/off when required out of the timers set. There’s also other functions on the app so you could set some lights to come on if it’s cloudy outside, or turn lights off if it’s sunny outside etc. The other great feature the app has, is the ability to see how much electricity each plug is using - I bought some extra plugs to plug my tumble driers into, to be able to see exactly how much electricity we use on those items. Gosund have a variety of items available in the USA, it would be nice if UK customers could have some of the same items available to them too. Overall, great smart plugs and great app to accompany them 😃👍

Work well with Alexa
Got a few of these now, in the house and my cabin. Rarely a hiccup and easy to reset if Alexa has a brain freeze. Piece of cake to set up using the Alexa app.

All good, reliable
I've been using these devices for over 2 years, all good, no problems. Except for one spare that came with some other Tuya gadget, I only use Gosund smart plugs. Available in packs of 1, 2, or 3 - check for discounts. Based on a teardown review you can find online these seem well made and well designed. It's permanently sealed (unless you do violence to it), uses a non-isolated transformerless power circuit (why it's sealed), and an ESP based CPU (may be convertible to Tasmota, depending on batch date and/or aforementioned violence). No problems with wifi, power metering is fine (seems close to accurate anyway) and you can see the historical power data by day and month (for at least 24 months). In the Tuya app you can use it in scene actions to turn on/off/toggle power to the plug, and trigger conditions of power state (or countdown, which I can't think of a use for right now). Sadly you cannot trigger on power usage at this time.Would buy again (since I already have purchased them several times :)

Tuya convert/ Tasmotizer experience.
Came as a pack of two. According to the description they should have been black but were obviously white.Featured Gosund branding on the top side and the address of a Polish importer on the pins side. There was no manufacturing date.I can't comment on normal use case for these plugs as it's not why I bought them. Flashing with Tuya convert went easily enough with the first one but failed with the second after many attempts. The plug was totally unresponsive despite the 7x fast power cycling reset trick or holding down the button. As I have the skills and facilities I dismantled the plug and flashed it with the Tasmotizer utility. Do not do this if you have no expertise in electronics as lethal voltages may be exposed. Even then, remember to solidly glue the plug back together ASAP afterwards. Internally the plug has an T201-V1.0 ESP8285 module. After flashing the software was upgradeable via the web interface and module settable as Gosund UP111.

Do what they say on the box
I got these as I already had some, and was interested in what the power usage was on various appliances in my house. They work great for that. The only downfall with these is the setup. I often end up setting them up in AP mode as they are not found on the wireless at times. Its simple enough to do though, and once set up, they just work

Tuya-convert and tasmota compatible
Sucessfully flashed with tuya-convert to tasmota. Date code on the back is 05/2021. I ordered a 4 pack from another seller that wasn't compatible, those ones did not have gosund written on the front and had alternate text on the back.

Planned obsolescence clearly at work
I’ve had 4 of these plugs now and, oh so coincidentally, they’ve all stopped working after about a year.I have one plug in the sitting room and one in the bedroom, they stopped working within a week of each other. Same as the previous 2.Won’t be buying again.

Great with Alexa
I now have 9 of these in the house 2 run independently and the rest are split into 2 groups. I have created timed responses as well which is brilliant. They pair really quickly so well worth the money
