Texa Saddlebags 10315 Gray Classic Car and Truck Caddy 10315

I bought my first Saddlebag about 20 years ago for my Ford F150 and for the last 18 years I've had it in my 2001 Ram 2500. (It was old enough to have slots for cassette tapes.) The only reason I bought a new one was to match the truck's grey interior. My old red one is still in good shape and definitely serviceable. Pretty much they just sit there holding things until you need them so, it should last a lifetime. The hinges on the new one are 2 inches shorter than on the old. Because it flips back and is supported by the seat back, this should not be a problem as it won't be straining the hinge. The picture shown is of the "contractor model" which opens from back to front making a support for clipboard. This may strain the hinge a little; I don't know. If you keep a bottle in the cup holder, you will have to move it anytime you want to fully open the contractor model. My original had a better quality to it. There was a piping around the top edge of the material lining the inside of the box and I mentioned the shorter hinge. These 2 things are the reason I dropped a star. If I only get 10 years out of this one, it will come out to about a buck a month. That ain't bad in this day and age. If Saddle bags reads this: please start stamping your name and logo on the inside again, be proud of your product.
