Reptile Café Bent Log Hide-Away Reptile Tank Décor, Small

While cleaning our aquarium I dropped and broke the previous log which housed the huge fellow living on the bottom of my aquarium. I had a heck of a time finding one that was big enough for him and he wasn't happy. I was thrilled when I found this one on Amazon. When I first put it in the aquarium he wouldn't go near it and stayed hidden behind a row of plants. After two days he went inside the log and hasn't moved from there until it's dark out at night. Needless to say, he loves it and if he's happy then I'm happy!!

This was smaller than I expected however I should have paid more attention to the specs. We use in a snake cage. It looks nice and has lasted a long time.

It's a very nice hide/log, but it is rather small. Other than the size, the product and the customer service/ shipping were top-notch/ I bought it for a 5 month old milk snake and it is just the right size. However, my snake will outgrow this in a couple of months. For the price, it is just fine. but if you are looking for a longer use for your colubrids (Milk Snakes, Corn Snakes, Kingsnakes, you may want to buy a bigger hide.

When I saw this hide away I was initially attracted to how pretty it was.Unfortunately when I received it the product was different from what the picture showed.I did not receive the above photo.Instead the one I received was all dark brown. No tan bark and it was covered in red flowers.Not impressed. Living on a boarder town it's too much work to pay bridge fair, shipping charges and have to cross the boarder once again to pick up a new one if i did ship it back, it's just not worth it for me.Also the inside is extremely sharpe. I don't think it's very save for my gecko to be rubbing around in.I'm worried about my baby gecko being cut so it was a waste of time and money for me.

This is a hard one to review. The actual log hide (I bought the large size) is a decent size and really pretty. HOWEVER. It came in a box with no real packaging (although I'm not even sure better packaging would have saved it). There was a thin piece of foam wrapped around it but nothing inside it. Mine did come broken. My husband attempted to glue it back together but there were SO many other cracks and super thin spots (see attached pics, one has a light shining through it) that once it was placed in the enclosure it fell apart again. I emailed the company and requested a refund and they were SUPER great and immediately refunded me which I really appreciated. Basically this *looks* really cool and would probably be okay if it was purchased in-store somewhere but it may just be too fragile for the mail unfortunately.

It is a lot smaller than you would think. Mine also came with a lot of sharp edges on the inside and my snake kept getting stuck in it. I ended up returning it because I didn't think the sharp edges were safe. It also doesn't quite look like the picture. mine was almost orange instead of a woody color.

My snake originally had this but then got to big for it. Now my betta has an and loves it

I have it in my Baby corn snake enclosure and he seems to like it and it came perfectly intact as well
